Steve

I tape on my phone to open the message it an unknown number.

" if you don't want to lose a love one kindly sell your land to me"... who could have text this message and why after my land?... Why threatening instead of calm agreement... should i reply..no.. I have to call Joe.B my friend.

Joe.B has been my friend since secondary school and luckily for him, he is a private investigator.. early in the morning i bath quickly to meet Joe.B at the restaurant i want to the kitchen when i heard sound from the kitchen..

"Mum i want to see a friend i will be right back" .. . Food is ready...mum said from the ..." i will eat when am back"...

At the restaurant there sit Joe.B sipping a coffee of tea.. "sorry man, old age and their talking.. that the message it from unknown number.. Joe.B copied the message onto his phone .. We should....

Vera 

I didn't want to use the gym so i decided to take a work along the road on my home i spot familiar man.."that is Steve " i said to my self... I quicken my steps to caught up with him but my legs couldn't carry me fast he enter the restaurant... Does Steve have a fiance?"

I was getting jealous already.

To satisfy my curiosity i enter the restaurant but i saw the irony of my expectation there sit Steve and another guy of his age. 

I ordered for a cup of coffee walking towards the direction of Steve and friend their back was facing me i lose my balance i felt a soft hands on my waist and a sweet scent reach my nose i wish i can lie in that soft hands for the rest of my life.

I turn facing Steve holding me tightly he help to stand ...

. Where the hell were you looking madam..Steven friend said before i could apologize Steve...don't worry ma.am Steve said after releasing me from his hold.

Job.B meet mr Boss daughter Vera ..my pleasure ... He said ... Pleasure is mine i said.." i can join you?? No ma-am your father wont take it likely seeing you around me ... Steve words appear to me like he is not man enough to fight for me... His word pierce my heart as if it been prink by needle, i didn't want Steve and his friend to see me cry so i quickly run out of the restaurant i didn't hear any foot step which means Steve didn't come after me to apologize of what he said.. Along the road i cry not minding the gaze of the public.

As i cry along the road a crowd walk towards my direction...she is honourable James the minister of energy and resource "... Someone said among the crowd..." ma-m.

Did your fiance breakup with you..did he reject you in public... The media is now every where... The second question push all the tears i have hold in front of the crowd to my eyes, i excuse my self from the crowd and thank God there is a taxi, take me home i said to the driver after managing to escape from the crowd.....

I tried to stop Vera when i realize she is angry because i refused her request, i am not ready to lose my job is a great honour that am working for the famous minister.

I went after her to apologize for my mistake after seeing the media around her i change my direction, i don't know where my body will be landed if Mr.James sees me with her crying daughter... I took a taxi home, when i saw mother the look on her face is nothing to write home about ...." son is there anything i should know" she said.. mum is getting worried already even though i haven't told her about the message... ." mum there is nothing to worry about,.. My friend has gotten a new job for me ... I lied ..." that is a good new then, when are you are starting?? .. Nothing yet mum.. I have become a cheap lier all of a sudden.. mum, "i will be in my room" i said .

Early morning i am in Mr. James house to take him to school to my greatest surprise there were muscle men standing in different positions at the compound they maybe Mr.james guides, could they be on leave ever since i started perusing this job "Hey stand there" a dip voice said .. " let him in" a dipper voice said.. There is a tall and muscle man with broad chest working toward me.. " you are Steve" he said.. Yes.. I said " you will be driving Mr.James daughters while Bone.. Pointing to one of the guide.. "Steve, take me to School am almost late" Vera said ...." Steve take me to work" Nancy burge in.. They start to exchange words..... I wake up early to go for lectures with Steve, looking at my reflection in my mirror how beautiful i look.

I saw Steve enter the compound talking to one of the guards i quickly took my bag and rush downstairs for him to drop me at school when my arrogant sister spoilt everything.

Now am going to school with her in the same car, her attitude irritate me sometimes i wonder if she is my biological sister.. After Steve drop her at the office.

Steve.. I called.. Yes ma-m call me Vera ... Aright Ma-am back to my question.. " who are your parents and why did you opt for this? . " I live with my single mother i lose my dad in an accident.. I lied because i never site my eyes on my father before and mum never talks about him.. Because of her illness i need to work and buy drugs for her... "Am sorry for that" thank you..ma-m Steve vera several questions and talking was comforting she sent to a restaurant for lunch she has a good heart unlike her sis .

I couldn't get my eyes of her when she was singing for me her charming voice beautiful eyes they make me forget my past.. Steve, take me home" Vera said after she came out of saloon... " Alright. I switch the engine and zoom off the place to Mr.James house, when we got to the house Nancy had also arrive before us... Steve, why didn't you pick me up?? ...Nancy said... Sorry ma.m but Vera insisted i take her ho..me.. The rest of my words remain in my throat when a soft palm lands my face .. Let this happen again you and your entire family will be jobless..she said...

The day was excited all along i have been laughing to Steve jokes and heart touching song.

His first song was as if he was referring me to directly.

My world and yours are opposite but your beautiful smile change kindles my heart.

Loving you is dangerous but  if i have to i will take a risk for you my princess.

Why do i become jealous whenever i see Steve with my sis.

Today after work i bought a cloth for him knowing he will pick me up at the office so i will present him the surprise gift... He sees me to be rude and arrogance but in my heart i am having a crush on him... Steve is handsome but local for my liking my father will disown me if he found out am dating him i can't afford to lose my position and respect as CEO no i have to let go of my feelings for him...
