Nancy Pov's

In my room holding Vera's picture while I talk to her picture as if it can hear me. 

Vera's birthday is set, the compound is crowded with many guests

I didn't believe the mutilated of guests present for her birthday.

Today is a her happiest day, she hasn't celebrated her birthday for almost ten years.

 

 I am sorry dear Sis but your happiness will turn to misery.

Nobody steps on the tigers tail, I am Nancy Benson the daughter of Mr. James Benson . I get what I want and nobody stands my way not even my father.

 

Vera, I bet you, today you will get the opposite of your expectation.

 

"Grreeeeee", "hello are you set for the job?? I asked my caller

'Yes Madame" she replied behind the phone 

"No mistake do a clean job and for your reward is more than expected" 

I didn't wait to hear her talk back before I hung up. 

 

The first disappointment she will receive is Steve choosing to wear my clothes instead of hers. 

My plans will be executed perfectly. 

Now this is the plan...... 

 

Steve Pov's 

 

Joe.B and I packed the car outside the gate, because he wasn't officially invited the guards didn't allow him to enter with his car. 

I was able to convince the security men that Joe.B is Vera's designer, they were difficult but money answers everything. 

After pushing some note into their pocket they allowed him to enter with me. 

When we entered, the compound was furnished with all kinds of different beautiful flowers and different colours of light. 

The light reflecting on the flowers changes the nature of the compound to make it more beautiful. 

All the men were in suit of different colors. 

The women were in different kinds of dress, most of them including the maids serving were clothed in half naked costume.

 

Today been valentines day, most of the guests were with their partners. 

Some were standing in different corners of the compound kissing and taking pictures. 

The compound is too big, it can contain about five hundred guests. 

Mr. James has traveled I heard one of the maid saying to the other. 

To my notion he doesn't attend Vera's birthday and on every weekends he travels, nobody knows where he goes not even his favorite daughter Nancy.. 

 

I have been scanning through the guest in search of the birthday girl. 

The only one who put spark in my eyes, but he is no where to be found.. 

I am sure she is in her room still on makeup, ladies and their makeup 

But it funny, some ladies apply makeup and they look like toys standing in front of boutique. 

 

"Where is this silly friend of mine"?? I asked my self while craning my head like a bird to look for him.

I have to look for him before he gets drunk and disgrace himself.

I was about leaving in search of him when the MC of the program said... 

 

"Ladies and gentlemen I welcome you all, 

Make yourself comfortable while we wait for our royal lady the birthday girl Vera Benson to arrive

Joe.B is still out of sight. 

Where could he be?? 

"Ladies and gentlemen let us all rise to welcome our royal lady Vera Benson as she comes" 

The MC announced. 

I isolated myself from the crowd to stand at a place I will see her clearly. 

The floor light was thrown to the corner she maybe appearing from, 

not quite long when I saw her walking majestically like the first lady mounting a platform. 

She moves her steps slowly to the lyrics of Tatiana's Song titled

HELPLESSLY. 

She was fully clothed in pink straight bare back gown and a large belt is wrapped around her waist.She had large diamond necklace around her neck. Her hair was long jetty black, adorned with Tiara at the center of her head. 

The Tiara was laced with diamonds, sparkling as she moved. 

The place was quiet as the only thing making noise was the sound of her heels. 

I could barely focus on what was happening anymore. 

All I wanted was her close by me, her hands wrapped around my neck as I pour my heart out.....

The crowd started to clap for her as she make her way to the high table. 

There comes Nancy in the same costume as Vera's, they both look splendid. 

The floor was opened for the two sisters to walk to the high table. 

They finally reached the table where the cake is nicely decorated with red, white and pink colour. 

"it now time for our Lady to cut the cake, before that, let's us song from our heart a happy birthday day song." the MC said. 

1..2..3..gooo!! 

All the guests began to song.

To Vera 

Happy birthday to you 

 How old are you now?.... 

Am 23 years old now....

She replied 

They all clap after the song. 

She was given a small knife and slowly she cut the cake. 

After that, the floor was opened for people to dance. 

"Sir have this, it from Vera" one of the maids said to me after pushing a glass of juice to me. 

"She said you should wait for her at the garden she will be with you soon" 

She added. . "

" Thank you" I said 

I took the drink and began to sip

 "It taste good ". I said to myself. 

I don't know what happened, before I realized I had taken about three glass of juice from the same maid that served me the first drink. 

She had fellowed me to the garden where I am supposed to wait for Vera. 

"It non - alcoholic the girl said to me while pouring me another drink."

I waited for about five minutes, I decided to stand from where I was sitting but my legs was heavy to stand me. 

I tossed back to the sit when I tried standing up. 

My vision became blur, I saw the things around me standing in two's 

Suddenly, I saw Vera walking towards me... 

Oh f-ek! She shouldn't notice am drunk. 

"But when did non alcoholic juice started to get people drunk?? 

I asked in a confuse manner 

"Hi Steve... She said stretching her hand for my..... 

I didn't reply because she might have scent the alcohol from my mouth. 

I only took her hands as we walk together to the party ground....
