Benjamin and I have been searching everywhere for Steve and Vera but to no avail, we saw Steve's car totally burnt but we didn't have any trace of their bones in the car.

Their manager Mr. Appiah have done anything to search for them in South Africa but he told us they're are not there, we have threatened the only suspect Nancy but she seem more confused than us.

She hasn't seen them as while, Steve mother has been hospitalized, she is not recovering a bit from her sickness.

What amazed me most is Mr. James he didn't care about her missing daughter all he does is work, and he doesn't want to talk to the media about her missing daughter.

My father has been on my neck to come to the village for the festival, I know he want to pick a wife for me at the village.

But I can't go when my only friend is missing besides his mother is under my care I need to take care of her until she recovers,

What makes father think I will get married to a villager when there is more educated and beautiful woman in the city.

I need to find Steve before I go to the village, yes I will find him.

Steve pov's

Today is the D day for our journey to the evil forest, I haven't gone there before but I have heard and seen how dangerous that place is in the movie.

Mr . Ananzo has encouraged us enough he said the gods doesn't cause harm to the innocent who enters the evil forest.

I wish Vera could stay behind so I could go alone because I don't want anything to happen to her.

She hasn't recovered from her memory loss I pray she won't asked of chocolate in the bush.

At the shrine the chief priest gave us directions on the do and don't in the forest, the three of us the lady, Vera and I are supposed to go.

. Ananzo gave me his hunting gun and a cutlass for the journey, Vera in the other hand was thought how to used the arrow by the Akasi that is the name of the woman we are going to the forest with. 

The chief priest and some of the elders walked us to the river. 

"your journey begins from here that is the road go and come back peaceful" the chief priest said I held Vera's hands as we walk through the path. 

"Steve will we meet people at where we going?? 

"Yes but not humans as us" Akasi replied 

"How,?? do we have different types of humans" Vera said 

"They are gods" she said 

"Do gods through exist?? 

" Yes " Akasi said

"Wawo so I am going to meet gods and talk to them, this journey will be fun how I wish I have my phone so I'll take selfie with them".. Vera said while jumping like a child. 

"It is not what you think they are da... " I wasn't allow to finish my words when Vera screamed in pain. 

"What is it?? I said and she Started laughing while clapping her hands 

" So you people are afraid I thought you are a man, why were you shaking "?? 

" Stop this, it not funny" I said but she was still laughing. 

We walked for almost six hours and darkness was about to approach 

"Steve where will we sleep because am getting tired already " Vera said. 

"We will get to a village soon " I lied because there is no village in the evil forest. She was about to ask another question when someone ..

"Hey! Where do you think you are going?? An ugly looking man with his bare chest and a cloth under him asked, before I could answer Vera barged in... 

" hey! what do you also want here?? We are here for business not childish play so get out of way before I land your face with slaps" she said while approaching the gods, I held her and pull her back 

"Steve allow me to teach him a lesson" she said, I was getting uncomfortable with her behavior so I shouted at her

"Keep quiet, didn't you hear what the chief priest said?? She stared at me in a surprise because I haven't gotten angry on her like that before 

I turned to apologize to the man be he had already disappeared 

We continued our journey, in a short while darkness approaches, we were told to return on the third day and we have already spent a day,. 

We need to rest I said and brought a mat from the sack and lay it on the ground, Vera and I slept on it while the other woman slept on hers beside us. 

We were in a middle of sleep when we heard a sound of drums approached us, we quickly stood and before I realized Vera was not among us. I crane my neck and saw her dancing as she goes after two goddess playing drums, I run as fast as I could and grabbed her hands and the two girls stopped the music as they walked toward us in an angry manner. 

Akasi stretched her arrow and hit a tree standing beside them and they both vanished. 

"Why did you sacked my friends "?? Vera asked in an angry tone

" They are not your friends they would have killed you." Akasi said 

"How did you do that?? I asked Akasi 

" That tree holds their life and powers if you shoot them they won't die unless through that tree " I was surprised because I was beginning to believe all that happened in the movie. 

She went back to sleep this time I tied Vera's clothe to my so she won't move without my notion, her ignorance attitude was getting on over my nerves. 

In the morning when I wake up Akasi was already a wake 

"We need to go now we have only two moon to caught" she said 

Vera was still sleeping like she is in her father's mansion, I taped by the hands and wake her up. 

"have we got to our destination?? She asked while stretching herself. 

" We are all most there" I said. 

We exhausted our food in just a day, we were left with few fruits and water. 

We walked for few hours and looking at the direction given to us by the chief we had an hour before we reach our destination, 

"Steve look at that" Vera said and when I turned it was a tiger 

"This is beautiful Steve she said while trying to walk closer to the pounced tiger, I held her by the waist and dragged her to my back. 

I brought my gun out pointed to it and was about to pull the trigger when Akasi shouted 

" Don't! this is the gods of our land, sorry my lord" she bowed while begging 

"We need directions to the land of fertility" 

The Tiger turned to half human and half tiger, 

"Fellow me" 

We followed the tiger to a big tree which had white branches, 

"This is the tree of fertility anymore who touches the branches and unable to plug will be sacrifice to the gods." the tiger said 

What came into my mind was that saying LADIES FIRST for the seek of my Vera men first. 

"Steve do you want to die and leave me a widow" she said while holding my hands 

"Let me go first" she said 

"You will also die" I said and she hugged me

"I love you and I can't stand to watch you die" I said after releasing her. Tears began to drop from her, she hugged me again 

"Steve don't go please" 

I felt tears dropping slowly from my eyes I released her and started walking slowly to the tree she run and hugged Akasi as they both cry while I walked towards the tree, I was almost there when.. 

"Stop" a voice said I stop and turned slowly to the person 

"Let me do this" Akasi said and Vera run to hugged me as tears flows furiously on our eyes. 

Akasi moved slowly toward the tree she turned to us when she got the tree, she waved us and touches the branches of the tree we both closed our eyes when we opened she was holding a branch of tree as she walks back to us. 

I dropped it in my sack after she gave me and the three of us hugged, the tiger disappeared and we continued our journey back home. 

The leave protected us from every attack and directed us on the right path to the village, in few hours we were in the village when we got back the elders and chief priest were gathered at the palace. 

We gave her the land fertility and she performed some rituals. 

"You are free to go back from where you came from but unless the festival is over" the chief priest.

"Stay at the palace after the festival you can go and you are free to visit this village any day" the king said 

"My son will be choosing a wife tomorrow at the festival the maidens of this village will be gathered and danced for the selection " the king said. 

We were tired and it was already dark so went to the our room, the maids served us diner after we've taken our bath Vera and I went to bed.

The festival began on the next day, the sound of the drums was enjoyable I knew Vera will love to dance. 

The king, elders and all villagers were gathered at the market square different group of dancers began to dance while they clap for them

Vera and I were standing among the crowd as we watch, the seat of the prince was vacant. 

The ladies who are supposed to dance for the prince were ready in their different dress ,

"Emo nee egya mo me nee kpanlima biza be ahy ooo"! 

The king addresses the village in a form of greetings in their language which means 

"Ladies and gentlemen on behalf of my elders we welcome you all"

They responded. "eyoo" 

My son is on his way to occupy his seat I entreat all maidens to get ready for the dance as he comes. 

They all stood as the prince walk to his seat, I opened my eyes widely and to my greatest surprise was Joe.B my friend. 

I held Vera's hand and moved to the direction he sat , before I could reach him he run and hugged me 

Joe.B never told me he is a prince, how come my mouth fell opened.......
