Kelvin:

"I asked you a fucking question!"I yell at her and she gasp. I knew

something was off when she called me and i confirmed it when i felt

her slip my phone off my pocket. I didn't react then and pretended to

really go to the restroom to watch the stain off my shirt so i would

know what she wants with my phone. She thinks she can outsmart me,

well she has another thing coming. Now, i have to find what she was

looking for in my phone.

I walk over to where my phone is on the floor then pick it off the floor.

"since you don't want to tell me what you were doing with my phone, i

guess i have to find out myself right?"i smile at her deviously.

"i was just checking for-" she goes to say but my glare shut her up.

"no need to tell me. I can find out myself" i say. Thankfully, the

phone is still on so i just check the last app that was opened. Its my

contacts.

"contacts. Now what were you looking for in my contact?. Before you

lie to me, just think about what i can do to you here. Right now." i

ask

"kelvin, you are scaring me" she says and i smile.

"that's what i am aiming for. Now tell me!" i grab her arm and yell in

her face

. She whimper probably because of the pain i am inflicting

with my fingers but i don't care.

"kelvin. You are hurting me" she cries.

"That doesn't answer my question. What were you looking for?" I ask

and tighten my hold on her arm.

"i was just going through your phone. You left it here so i just

played with it for a while. I swear, i didn't have anything in mind. I

just-- ah! Please stop" she cries out. I release her arm and land a

slap across her face.

"i told you to think about what i can do to you before you lie to me

you bitch!" i yell and fling the phone against the wall in anger.

"i am telling you the truth. What would i be looking for? You have

saved me multiple times. I would never betray you" she sob out while

rubbing her cheek.

I look at her with narrowed eyes and a little remorse. I really don't

enjoy doing this to her. I expected so much from her. I was even

thinking about the possibility of being with her when all this is

over. My phone starts ringing and i release it from my belt holder.

Caroline looks at me shocked and i smile. Ofcourse, i wouldn't leave

the important phone in plain sight. I see bullet's name on the screen

and connect the call.

"what is it?"i ask immediately.

"boss, we have a problem. Two actually" he says.

"What's going on?"

"Simon was at your house this night. He was shouting about you paying

for what you've done. I think he now knows about you."

"Shit! How did he get to know?" i ask and my eyes go to Caroline. The

bitch must have told him. I shouldnt have trusted a stupid woman in

love.

"No need to answer that. I think i already know who the snitch is.

Now, what's the second problem"

"its Beatrice"

"Beatrice? Isn't she still in a coma or has she woken up?" i ask. I

notice how caroline's eyes go wide when i mentioned beatrice's name.

"Boss, i saw her entering your compound this night. She looked finefine, so i decided to go to the hospital to find out if my eyes were

deceiving me." he says then stop.

"Then?" i ask impatiently

"she wasn't at the hospital boss. At first the doctor and the nurses

didn't tell me anything. I had to persuade the stupid doctor by

threatening him" he says then stop again.

"Would you go straight to the point you fool!"

"Am sorry boss. Turns out, Beatrice was never in a coma. She has been

deceiving all of us." shit! I cant believe i fell for her

manipulations. Could she be the one caroline's working with?.

"I want that stupid doctor dead before the day breaks. Do you understand?"

"yes boss" he says before i end the call.

"so, which of them are you in cohorts with?" i ask Caroline as i start

stalking towards her and she starts moving backwards.

"what are you talking about?"she ask and i laugh dryly.

"Simon or Beatrice. Which of them are you working for?" i ask calmly.

"Isn't Beatrice in a coma? How can i work with her?"she ask.

"Simon then?"

"why would i work with someone who almost killed me?"caroline stops

walking when her back hit the wall and i walk till i am in her

personal space.

"Do you take me for a fool?" i ask

"no. I am not lying. Please don't harm me" i pleads

"then stop lying to my face, you bitch!" i land another slap across her

face then grab her hair.

"you know what? I don't care which of them you are working for. What i

know is the both of them are going to die by my hands. Do you hear

me?" i pull on her hair and she nods while sobbing.

"hey come on. Don't cry. I won't kill you. Atleast not until after you

have watched me kill them both. Now get ready. We are going back to

Nigeria." i say and release her hair. As soon as i let go of her hair,

she grabs a fork off her bedside table and point it at me.

"i cant let you go back to Nigeria. You won't move an inch while i

call the police or i would stick this fork into your neck. Do you

understand?"she says. I nod slowly and watch as she types something on

her phone. When she finish typing, she dials a number and place the

phone to her ear.

"hello. I am been-"i don't let her finish. I slap the fork off her

shaky hands and she drops the phone in shock. What an amateur. I grab

her head and hit it against the wall. She falls limp on the floor. A

nurse rush into the room probably because she heard the noise.

"oh thank God you are here. She just fell and hit her head on the

wall. Come and check her" i say feigning panic. The nurse rush to

caroline's side and i quickly grab the fork on the floor. I grab the

nurse's hair and place the fork close to her neck.

"what are you doing?"

"just shut up and do what i tell you. Now, i want you to get some

bandage and clean this girl up. Then i want you to bring me really

strong anesthetic. Something that would make this one sleep through

out a long flight. Do you understand?"i ask and she nods.

"now, I'll go with you. Just to make sure you are cooperative"i say

and she nod again.

"now, move" i hide the fork behind my back as i follow the

Nurse out of the room.

After successfully sneaking Caroline out of the hospital with the

nurse's help, i hail a taxi and go straight to the airport. I wheel

the drugged Caroline into the airport without paying any attention to

the weird looks thrown my way.

The flight back was free of any incidence. I just explained to any of

the airport authorities that asked why Caroline was in a wheel chair

that she just underwent a surgery and she was too weak to walk.

Caroline slept through out the flight while i plotted my next step of

action. I no longer care what means i use to get the company and

simon's life. He already knows am against him so no need for sneak

attacks.

As soon as we get out of the airport, bullet has a car waiting for

us.

. I wheel the sleeping Caroline into the car and i drive straight to

my house.

My gate is wide open when i get in which is weird. All my senses stay

at alert as i drive into my compound. I notice an unfamiliar hilux

parked inside and i quickly get out of the car to find out who is in

my house. As soon as i step inside, a police man point a gun at me.

"sir, you are under arrest for the possession of illegal drugs. You

are advised to remain silent for anything you say will be used against

you in the court of law."he says

"what drugs?. I don't know anything about any hard drug" i say confused

because i really don't deal on drugs. This is just absurd.

"We found this in your bedroom drawer." he shows me a white substance

in a transparent bag and i just look at him more confuse.

"Handcuff him" he says and i look back to find another police behind

me. I am put in handcuffs in seconds and dragged out of my own house

into the hilux. I don't understand anything that is going on until i

see Beatrice and simon talking with the police men. I cant believe

this. They set me up!
