Where will I get Four thousand naira from? It was very hard for me to get the one thousand naira for my WAEC exam and now this. Why is everything working against me? And I have just three weeks to pay. Sarah said folding the paper back into the envelope. She thought of doing some menial jobs to get the money. Her parents were no-go area for her. 
After two weeks,she still hasn't gotten the money, she thought of going out with Uyoyo again but she didn't want to give her pride away just like that . She had promised herself to stay chaste until marriage. She decided to help people on their farm even when the pay wasn't much. She also helped her father a lot at the bar to make him change his mind but he was still bent on not sending a female child to school no matter what Sarah said or did. She wished uncle Peter could come back now that she needed him so much. She gathered all the money she had saved and it was just Eight hundred naira. It wasn't even up to half of the money. She had no option left,so she decided to ask Joseph for help.
You see,I love you and will do anything for you. Joseph told her.
Sarah had just three days left to pay the entry fee and there was no one else to turn to.
She knelt down in front of Joseph with tears flowing down her cheeks.
Please don't cry dear,I am here for you. I will give you the money

Sarah quickly wiped her face.
Really? Thank you uncle. Sarah said smiling at Joseph.
But only on one condition princess, Joseph smirked. He stood up from the wooden chair he was sitting on and moved closer to Sarah. He helped her up and started caressing her face and hands. Sarah angrily pushed him away.
What are you trying to do? Sarah shouted at him.
Haven't you heard of using what you have to get what you want? Joseph replied.
So this is the type of love you claim to have for me? To ruin me? Sarah asked in tears.
Come on girl, its not easy to see a girl like you and not want to touch anything. Joseph said looking at Sarah lustfully.
Sarah had great features,she was dark in complexion with long dark hair. She was the truth definition of black beauty. She was the type of lady every man will want to have. But she was different from the village girls,she was a girl with big dreams. Life didn't care about her or her dreams and has not been fair to her since birth.
She left Joseph's house feeling so disappointed, she never thought Joseph was that type of man,she trusted him.
Its true,men are devils. She said to herself.
She decided to take another job,a friend helped her secure a job at one of the white men's house as a cleaner. She was paid Six hundred naira for two days. She had just one day left, her dream was going down the drain. She was ready to give her all. She had no other option.
I think it is better to give what I have for what I want. I can't let this opportunity slip away.... She thought wiping.  
She tried not to think of Joseph's offer but it seemed to be the only way out.
So she decided to give in to Joseph's request.

Please,I beg you uncle,please help me,I can't give what you asked for. Please uncle,it's the only thing I have got. Sarah said pleading but it just fell on deaf ears. Joseph wasn't ready to change his mind no matter how much Sarah cried.
You don't have to cry dear, Joseph said caressing her face and body. You should be glad I offered to help you. Don't be a baby and meet me in the bedroom. He said smirking and entered the bedroom. 
Sarah fell on the ground wiping. 
I have to do this,please Lord forgive me. She said to herself and then stood up from the ground to join Joseph in the bedroom. Few minutes later,the deed was done. Sarah couldn't control her tears,it flew like water from a broken tap. She felt so empty,all she had left was her dreams and she wasn't ready to let it go. 
Joseph didn't care about how Sarah felt,he was happy he got what he wanted.
He dropped some naira notes on the bed,got dressed and left her in the room. She couldn't say anything. She just kept wiping. 

She got home that evening feeling so depressed,she paid no attention to anyone. Even when her parents called her. She wished she could speak to Rebecca,she needed a friend so badly.
Very early the next day,she travelled to the city to pay her entry fee. She got to the registrar,filled the entry form and handed over the form and registration money to him. 
Sorry miss,you can take back your money. The registrar said.
But why sir,the registration is not close yet,is it? She asked the registrar.
No miss,you are among those that were awarded scholarship from GIFTED INC.Congratulations. The registrar said smiling.
