Adele - Episode 19

 

Richard headed straight to the police station from office, he could not even concentrate at work,  the  strain is showing on his face already, and worried lines, with a week old beard decorating his face, for the first time in a long while, he looks unkempt and he was not even bothered.
   The last time he looked this strained was when he lost his first wife, and it a feeling he never prayed to experience again.  Now he cannot sleep well nor eat well because of the fear of what the kidnappers might do to his daughter and Adèle. 
  It has been a week before the kidnappers reached out to him again and that is why he came to see the detective in charge of the case.
   The kidnappers have already made their demands of Ten million Naira,  and he is more than ready to pay for the ransom.
   "Please lets just give them the money,  am tired of this back and forth"
    "Mr Coker this kidnappers need to be handled delicately,  we sincerely   understand how you feel, but they may still require more money, lets do it this way when they call again insist that you want to give them the cash directly that you won't do transfer , that way we can Mark the cash and trace it"
     "Okay i will do that i just prayed it works"
      "Don't worry it will work,  and tell them you won't hand it over unless
       they are ready to make the exchange"
  As they were talking Richard phone rings,  and it was Tiwalade, 
       "Hello Richard where are you ?  there is something just i found out now
        about where adele and your daughter is kept" 
        "What ? Slow down and explain, am with the detectives, where are you "  he asked, anxiously 

 Earlier ... .     

     Tiwalade could not just shake the feelings that Femi is acting weird,  So she decided to do a little detective work on her part

.  She decided to monitor his movement, to know what he is up to,  she was hiding at the café besides femi work place when he came out from his office building hurriedly, and drove off in his Car,  she quickly flagged down a cab to follow him undetected, when femi's car made a turn to an untarred road,  tiwa told the cab driver to be very careful and follow at a slow pace so as not to be detected. 
     Femi being in a hurry did not notice he was being followed,  he parked and quickly entered into the building where adele and Ella were kept. 
   Tiwa told the driver to park where they can't be seen, and trekked further .
"This guy is up to no good" she muttered to herself, she knew following him is dangerous and the chances of being caught is high, but she can't bring herself to turn back.
"What if my worst fear is confirmed, and Adele is with femi? and I didn't do anything about my suspicion, I won't be able to forgive myself" . 
By the time she got to where the red car was parked she saw femi coming out with something wrapped in a cloth and it seems to be more of some one than something at a closer range,  she saw him entered his car and drove off.  She saw all this from where she was hiding in the bush beside the building. 
  She was baffled as to What femi carried into his car,  she decided to wait a bit to see if anyone will come out of the building,  after waiting for more than one hour she decided to leave, when she heard a heated argument coming from the building,  she saw a man ran outside to check around,  later he was making a call telling Who ever is on the other end that adele has been taking away while they were drugged.    
 Tiwalade almost  pass out from shock,  with what she just witnessed.  after the man went inside she ran out of her hiding place and run back to where the cab man was waiting for her. 
"Madam, you stayed too long o, and your money has doubled. " The cab driver told tiwa angryly. 
 "Don't worry i will pay, Just leave this place immiediately ".   

Present Moment... 
 After Tiwalade explained everthing to Richard at the police station,  the detective were happy that there is a major break in the case,  but Richard is very worried and scared that Adele 's Ex boyfriend has taken her, it like the madness will not end. 
 "Don't worry he can only run but he can't  hide, we will Hunt him down. lets just rescue your daughter first "
"And please next time, just let us do all the detective work, for you put your life at risk by going on your own, what if something happened to you..?"
"Am sorry , and I understand , I was just worried about my friend and the little girl, and I did not have time to call earlier, just did what I thought was best",  tiwa explained.
" it okay, so can you remember how to get to the place where they are hiding ella?"
 Tiwalade told the detectives that she knows the place and a plan was put in place to rescue Ella.
