House
“Mummy! Mummy!!” Cleo called. She met her mum sitting in front of the dressing mirror in her room.
“Ah, my daughter, it is a pleasure to see you”
“I can’t say the same. You lied to get me here. It is not fair.”
“A mother has to do what a mother has to do.”
“What exactly are you up to?”
“We are having a family dinner on Saturday. You have to be home.”
“Seriously! That is all?”
“Yes, plus I wanted seeing you .”
“Mummy! God! You could have sent me a message and you’d see me on Saturday
. I was in the middle of a big meeting.”
“If you were working at your father’s company it would have been easier getting across to you”
“I don’t want to. Biko you people should hafum (leave me). I’d think about the dinner. Bye.” Cleo made to leave when her mum’s voice halted her.
“You forgot to greet your mum.” Mrs.ike said
“Good evening mum. Bye-bye. No more pranks please.”

Ada could not believe the mess she met on her table. Not like she ran a big company, she was managing three eateries named “TASTY MUNCH”.

. It was tedious keeping to the orders of her online customers; they always come up with eleventh hour requests. She sat staring at her table when her phone beeped bringing back to the present.
“Hello bae”
“You sound out of place” said the caller.
“My table is such a mess.”
“worked late last night?”
“Nah, Cleo took me to a lounge.”
“Cleo must have sucked the energy out of you”
“You bet she did.”
“This is why I keep saying you come leave with me. I don’t know why you insist on staying with her”
“I am good Tunde. Don’t worry.”
“you always say so.”
“Yeah. What you up to?”
“Writing.”
“I should let you work. Take care.”
“I was thinking you’d give me good vibes. All the same, I love you.”
“Alright.”
How time flies. She could not believe she has been in a relationship with Tunde for a year. It is so far the longest she has ever stayed with a guy. Thoughts of Jason came to mind; she sent him a message and stood to put her desk in order.
