Unwavering guts
Bayo was the happiest man on earth that night, the happiness in him couldn't be explained. On his way home, he was dancing on the road insanely and he had enough to gist for Francis.
Bayo got to his hostel and was about to open his hostel when he heard voices quarreling.
" Francis doesn't have a girlfriend, and the time is late for anyone to be quarreling" He said to himself silently looking at his wrist watch.
Bayo looked around searching for any available weapon and found a broken bottle on the floor. He grabbed it and bashed into the hostel . He found Francis struggling with two boys
" Bayo! Bayo! Thieves!" Francis said shouting
Bayo grabbed one the boys and dragged him away from Francis to even the fight. He succeeded in hitting his opponent on his nose a couple times and used the broken bottle to tear his right arm. Bayo and Francis were winning but then Francis' opponent grabbed a stick and knocked Bayo out.
"O boy make we de go!! Cobra disembark!! Disembark!!" He said running out with his partner in crime.
"Bayo! Bayo! Chineke!" Francis shouted
He carried Bayo on his shoulder and ran out of the hostel, he grabbed the nearest taxi and took Bayo to a hospital

Bayo was still out cold till the next morning. Francis had already tried calling his parents but all to no avail.
Bayo finally woke up in the afternoon
" How come I'm in the hospital?" Bayo said asking Francis
" You were knocked out by my opponent, he used a stick "
" Oh my God!!" Bayo said touching his head
" You didn't bleed, If I catch those boys!! I go kill them"
" One of them had a tattoo on his neck"
" Enough boys have tattoos in college na"
" A lion tattoo; red an blue colour"
" I've tried calling your parents, they didn't pick up"
" They will start complaining now"
They heard a knock on the hospital; it was Ada
" Oboy you don toast her?" Francis said
" Quiet first"
" Hey, I'm so sorry about what happened" Ada said
" I think I'll give you guys some time" Francis said leaving the hospital room
" How did you..?"
" Neighbour's, they said they heard shouting, the news have spread all over the college, they said you were knocked out.." Ada said stressfully
" Hey, Hey I'm okay" Bayo said holding her hand
" It's my fault, I would have stopped our conversation early"
" It's nobody's fault, by the way we won the fight" Bayo said smiling
" What were they there for?
" Francis said they were thieves, and I'm better now that you're here"
" That's so sweet" Ada said cuddling Bayo's head
" I have a secret"
" What's that?"
" I.." Bayo heard a knock on the door and stopped
" Were you expecting someone?"
" None I can think of"
" Let me check it" Ada said walking towards the door to check " It's a lady"
" Excuse me please" Bisi said
Bayo was not happy with her presence
" Oh my God, not now"
Bisi walked up to Bayo and kissed him on his cheek

. Ada was heart broken seeing this, she left the hospital almost in tears
" Hey!! Ada!!" Bayo said trying to call Ada back " Bisi, you didn't tell me you were coming, a minute please I'm coming"
Bayo stood up from the hospital bed to go after Ada. Getting outside she was long gone.
