Tomorrow - Episode 17
Jason and his Uncle got to the village and the environment was as calm as if everyone had packed away from the village. His grandmum's voice was the only noise disturbing the neighbourhood and those that came to sympathize with her.
"Jason see what your mum has done to me ooo, why didn't God allow me to take her place. What am still living for at my age"? Jason could not say anything, he just sat down looking at the people coming and going out
. He just wanted to know how it happened, even though he had concluded within him that his mother's death was not ordinary, someone has to be behind this said Jason.
His Uncle who had gone to console her mum came and told him to be a man that it's not the end of the world for me.
"Uncle but why did she give birth and died, the child should have gone with her because the husband and their family does not look like they are up to the task, her body was swollen and water were coming out of her body? I knew that it was not ordinary only God knows who she had offended that decided to fire at child birth same way they wanted to take my life when i was growing up here because of her misunderstanding with a lady here in this village. Why don't people forgive?
"Jason i don't have the answers to these questions but God knows best, am sure if it was not her time God would not have allowed it".
His cousin Ngozi who was the closest to Rose came also to complicate the issue, she fell to the floor crying uncontrollably

. Her mom Joyce could not stop her either. Some of her school friends took her to their car to brighten up the mood of people a bit.
The elders of Rose's husband people said they can't bury her corpse in their compound because they discovered that the signs from the illness that led to her death was a symptoms of an adulterous wife, so she will be buried inside the bush where others with the same predicament are buried too. This decision brought more insult upon the injury they have been nursing.
Rose's elders had no choice but to agree to their terms because she was married to him. They started the burial ritual rites. They all went to the hospital to get her corpse, she was laid to rest in the bush according to their traditions.
This tradition got Jason's crying out why his mother will be buried in a bush where there are many lands in their village wasting. But his voice was like that of ant that nobody could hear.
Call came through immediately after his mother's grave was covered up.
"Hello Jason how is it going? Please take heart, remember God gives and take we can't question him. I have missed you so much, everyone in class have been so moody this few days, in fact some teachers had to cancel some classes because they couldn't teach us in our moods, please just be good for us".
"Thank you Love. Am grateful, i have heard you please my regards to the whole class, tell them am fine and will be back in two days time".
It was in the process of some discussions that Jason discovered that his mom's husband had been married before with children that his first child had given birth too. He left them because he got tired of the marriage.
"Am sure she never got to know all this before they married, Men and their deceptive nature".
"Anyways nothing can be done anymore whoever that orchestrated this big congrats to him/her".
Jason still trying to assimilate all this heard another news on the burial ceremony ground that his grandmum just passed on.
