Where is that woman that wants to send me to the great beyond before my time? Where's she, father shouted as he walked away, but he wasn't really putting the question out to anyone in particular.

All this while I never took notice of father's new self, oh my  poor father he is  now worn out, he was like a skeleton as he walked away. 
All this trouble has really taken a torn on him he was now all skinny and ragged too.

Rose! Rose!, oh now I see that you have suddenly gone duff and dumb, father called out to her. 

She came out and asked in a very calm voice "my husband why are you shouting my name like that when you know I have been waiting for you since in my hut" waiting for me for what? All you know how to do best is to give birth like a rabbit and making sure everyone you come in contact with have no rest. What are you Rose a witch or the devil himself in form of a woman, how can you use the pot of your follow woman to wash your pants and not to talk of the fact that you had the effort to beat up my daughter,  denied her food, stopped her from going to school and sent her to the farm instead.

My husband you are hurting me with your words because I don't know what is it I have done this time around. She said as she started to cry. So all i have been saying since i was singing abi? Father asked her but she cried louder. But I can swore that she was faking it so as to get father's face but she lied not this time for she has crossed the line this time that I am sure of.

Rose! Rose  please stop that your fake tears for it doesn't work on me anymore for the time it had it's effects on me has passed so you can start thinking of something else  but before you do so first and foremost start packing your belongings for the day mustn't break and meet you here, so just go in quitly and pick everything you can lay your hands on for you live this house by the first cockcrew. Now she increased her tears and started reining abuses on all of us,

Oh I see your plan but it won't work. 
 Am not living this house not again and if I must live it will be with everyone that came with you to my father's house when you married me. So if those people are not here I won't go anywhere she said. 

That was the longest night ever, for the fight and quarreling  lasted the whole night that even neighbors started tripping in one after the other till our compound became crowded with all sort of people. 

Those who were asking for the cause of the quarrel asked  and those who already know and were now begging for her to be forgiven were also doing so. Each time anyone asked what happened I was called upon to give the account of what that happened and as I did that those who told me that I did the right thing by talking did and those who called me a home  breaker also did. But one thing happened this time around that has never happened before, 

It so happened that this time around dad decided to bring in my grandparents in to the matter so that they can see for themselves the kind of woman they made him marry.
   As they arrived and asked my stepmother if what she was accused of doing was true or not, Mama she is lying on me, because to be begin with I don't even know the pot they are talking about to start with. She denied it all 

That was when I came out from the house after mother had told me not to come out but I won't just sit and let this wicked woman call me a lier to my face so I went out not knowing where the courage came from but I was ready to confront everyone who may want to accuse me of anything,  so out I went and said to her face everything I had said before and that was when the beast was let out of her as she made to grab me. Thanks to all  the neighbors who came to my defense and most especially John and his mother who told everyone how they fed me when she denied me food I don't know what would have happened. And that was when my grandparents realized that they had made  the worst mistake ever by talking father to marrying her, but what can they do now she already has two kids and the third one on the way by the look of things.

But after all of this, father's kinsmen and  those other  people that went with father the day she was married were more than happy to help send her packing and put an end to all the misfortune my family has been going through ever since she came in to our life's,  they did this by using broom to sweep of her footsteps as she left our house back to her father's house. 

So now dear readers I ask do you think this  the end of Rose Ada's stepmother or will she return again.
