I was just 4 + when it all started. though I was young.
But who says a child doesn't understand what happens around them?.
Mom and Dad are always very happy, and our home was always the envy of all.
No morning fights, and all of those things you can imagine or think of that do happen in an African home.
But all of that happiness came to an end as I clocked 5yrs. My grandparents became so angry with dad for not getting another wife to give what my mother couldn't give him
. A son. And mom for not getting pregnant.
As for dad he loved mom so much to hurt her would be the last thing. But what can he do?
They were his parents.
But I know you may be thinking that there was always a way out but not in this case. What you don't know was that it's either father accepts to marry another woman or mother lives the house.
All because I was the only child after 10yrs of their marriage so now you see why their was no way out.
I watched as mom cried herself to sleep each night. oh poor mother, her home was about to be scattered. I really felt sorry for her, but what could I have done I was just a child.
And it continued like that till one morning .
