The Man I Love - Episode 11
Victor's heart skipped a beat.
“This is Tosin nah! the woman that i've
always loved and i've tried so hard to
forget. My goodness!
Daddy actually wants me to marry the lady I’ve been unable to express my love to..."
Victor was lost in thought.
"Everyone now calls him Vil instead of
Victor" The pastor continued his remarks
unawares of the drama going on in Victor’s mind.
"He got this name after his NYSC.
he's a co-owner of a lab in Delta state and
he goes in and out of the country at his
convenience.
People of God, God has blessed my son,
he made it on his own without me,
from doing his photography he bought
machines and established his own lab,
and by the grace of God he has paid off the
loan he used to start up,
also his wedding will take place by the end
of this month” he added
The congregation shrieked for joy when
they heard this.
“He has to travel overseas urgently hence
the rush, nevertheless, his bride will be
presented to the church next Sunday
hopefully, all things being equal” he
concluded.
Before Victor’s introduction to the
congregation, Emeka was already looking at him from his seat as someone he had met
before but he couldn’t place it.
The moment daddy mentioned his name he was like;
"so this is the man that took my Hani, ohh!
He was the one I met at her place sometime ago in Delta state.
He looks like a nice person though, If he's
my pastor's son then its okay, what can i
do.” He thought to himself.
The service ended and the pastor called for
the church elders including Emeka.
He told them his son wants to get married to Hani and asks Emeka what he has to say.
Emeka told them he has no problem with it, that the man of God should feel free to bless their union,
“you’ve been like a father to me not just my pastor, if Hani wants him who i'm i to
meddle with her choice.
I can't do anything about it, so long as it
makes her happy then it's fine” he
responded.
The pastor sighed in relief. It was way too
easy than he expected, he actually felt
Emeka would not take it likely, he was really impressed by his maturity.
To the elders the pastor says:
“what do you all have to about this?”
"Emeka is the one offended here, if he's
okay with the marriage then there is no
issue,
Victor can go ahead and marry Hani” one of the elderly men in the church said and
other nodded in agreement.
Vil who was in the meeting heard all they
said, this was suppose to be a thing of joy
for him as there’s no more hindrance to his wedding arrangement with Hani,
but he just couldn't explain why he was
unhappy, he felt a void on his inside.
Could it be that his love for Tosin has
rekindled just like it was two years ago?
The pastor looks at Vil, wondering what was wrong with him...
"Vil my son, the church has given you the go ahead, please inform Hani's family that the wedding plan continues.
I won't force my choice on you

Vil told his father he needs to rest and that
he was glad the meeting wasn't as difficult
as he anticipated…
Tosin walked up to Emeka and told him she was ready for them to go and see the pastor,
"by the way, why did the elders call you,
hope all is well?" She asks
“Actually, Vil wants to marry Hani and I
permitted him" Emeka replied.
"What!"
Tosin looks towards the the direction of Vil
in a flash of light like a woman that just
caught her husband red handed with
another woman.
she couldn't explain why she became so sad all of a sudden.
Her countenance dropped,
could it be that she developed a soft spot for him after Richard told her about Victor's
love for her but was unaware of her
emotions?
