The Man I Love - Episode 10

 

They lived together in the corpers' lodge in Niger state before he redeployed and lost all his contact when he lost his phone.

He loved her deeply, no one actually knew 
about this except his roommate, Richard.

 Victor was scared of revealing his 
intentions to Tosin,
 
she was their welfare mama and he was just a member of the corpers' fellowship.

He feared she might turn him down as she
 always had a lot of brothers around her
 unknown to him that she never gave  her 
heart to any of them. They were platonic
 friends.

 He always calls her madam church and
 they were really good at teasing and
 Making fun of each other but they weren’t 
that close.

She never suspected him of liking her more than necessary, not for once.

 Afer his redeployment, Richard told Tosin
 About Victor's feelings for her.

“Victor is a calm and lovely guy, i could have considered him who knows” She replied.

“Exactly my point, I tried explaining what 
you just said to him, but he paid deaf ears.
 He just couldn’t bring himself to let you in
 on his intentions...” Richard complained.

“He had to leave because he was
 going through grievous pains seeing you
 always and being unable to express what 
he felt” he added.

Victor actually felt if he went far from her, 
he would be able to forget her, but 
unfortunately for him, he has 
never stopped loving her until He met Hani and decided to settle down with her
 instead. 

Seeing Tosin again in the church after such a long time, awakened the love he had
 buried for over two years now.

 "Victor, Victor" 

Tosin called, he didn't respond till she had to wave her right hand across his face...

“are you okay?” she asks

Oh! Sorry dear, Victor apologized

“hope you are good?” She asked. 

“Yes I am” he says smiling.

“Please come inside, we have a lot of 
catching up to do later in the week" she 
said. 

The church service was progressing...

Hani was at home restlessly waiting for
 what might happen next . She didn’t even
 bother going to her church as she wasn't
 feeling too well

 condition, she was too anxious to calm

Finally, the pastor after his sermon,
 announced to the church that it was time to welcome his only son who has been away
 for so long.

"With clapping ovations let's welcome my
 own son who left us about ten years ago, 

many of you might not know him except our old members, he is no other person but 
Victor Ola Dayo..."

The congregation roared with shouts of joy,
With the drums and the paino going
 simultaneously, the music was on point and everyone turned right and left looking to see who he was...

Tosin could not believe her eyes...

"Wow! Victor is my pastor's son? Like
 seriously! She exclaimed with a mixed
 feeling of surprise and excitement.

 and I didn't know? she said to herself 
Smilingly as she stood at the entrance of the church, performing her ushering duties.

He was known as Victor Ola D. In Niger
 state and the pastor was answering Pastor Daniel Dayo, thus it never crossed her mind that her pastor might be related to him,

besides all the corpers knew Victor as a
 Lagosian, they were oblivious of the fact 
that he was born and brought up in Benin
 before he relocated to Lagos. 

Moreover, he never really spoke in details
 about his root.

Victor got up from his seat and walked up to meet his father and pastor of the church.

Wow, he’s really handsome, the
 congregation compliment in silence.

"Sis Tosin"

 the pastor called, 

“yes daddy”

she walks towards him,

"Please get me the parcel on my office desk" he ordered

“Okay sir”

She walks straight to his office.

Victor's eyes and mouth were wide in shock as he trails her to the office with his eyes.

His father already told him during the early hours of the day while they were still at
 home grooming for the service,

That the lady he would ask to bring a parcel from his office after he introduces him to
 the church, is the lady he has in mind for
 him to get married to.
