The Homecoming - Episode 11
"I want you to tell us exactly how you've been spending your time since you got back from the state"
That was from Steve Osas, the man believes I have made some enemies.
"Have you angered anyone that you think is in a position to hurt you?"
I roll my eyes into my head, I feel an headache coming on, it has been exactly 5 hours since I got the envelope from Alec.
Sage wanted to delve into the case as soon as he could but I didn't want to spook Alec further, I let him go to bed first.
"I would really appreciate it if you could answer us ma'am"
That was Wesley, have I mentioned that I don't like this guy, he looks and sounds like a self absorbed weasel. Weasel Wesley , ha! Good name.
I know, I know, am trying to distract my self but am damn tired, something like this has never happened to me before, I can feel myself unraveling, all I want now is to curl on my bed with some ice cream and have a big pity party.
I wish Sandra was here, she would have understood.
Steve clears his throat and I glance at him, he is gazing at me softly, he understands what I am feeling.
"I don't.....", My throat is scratchy so I clear my throat and try again.
"I don't think, no, I haven't angered anybody, I promise."
"We get it ma'am but this person, whom ever he is might mean serious harm to you, so I want you to think harder"
I really like this guy Steve, but am just so tired I can't think.
I nod my head negative,
"I can't think of anyone, am sorry"
"We understand, but before this gets done with we would advice a security detail, for you and your son"
Sage steps forward and I suddenly remember that he was in the room, I am so tired.
"Thank you gentle men, I would see that she is well protected, in the main time, I want you to run that envelope if there is any print on it, that would be real helpful"
"We will get right on that but am not sure that would amount to anything, people like this don't do sloppy jobs"
Who was this guy,? Wesley is not doing anything to alleviate my fears, justice must have thought so too because he steps forward and shakes the Hands of each of the men while ushering them to the door, they leave after promising they would come the next morning with whatever they found.
I turn to Sage and he goes to hug me but I step away,
I address the 3 men in the room,
"Am gonna go take my bath and sleep, good night fellas"
I exit the room and they don't bother me, justice and Justin knows to leave me alone when am in a mood .
I go upstairs and strip down on front of my mirror, I look my self over and I walk to my bath room, I switch on the tap to run into the tub, I add some bath salts and finally I sink into the tub of warm water and let go.
I stay in there for about 30 mins and I come out, I pad to the towel rack and dry off, I walk to my closet and in out on some under things and a big shirt, it was one of justice high school jersey.
I curl on the chaise at my window sill and I stare out at he lights, finally I allow my self to feel in the darkness of my room.
A man wearing an helmet almost ran me over, a man wearing an helmet gave my son a threatening envelope, that same man could have kidnapped my son, could have hurt him, could have killed me, Alec could be without a mother now.
The tears come and I don't stop or try to dry them, I cry and cry and cry and cry and finally a fall into a fitful dreamless sleep.

Sage.
I listen as the woman I have come to love cries behind the door, I stand helpless unable to do anything but stand there.
She doesn't want consoling and I understand but that does not mean I won't hurt who ever this person is, that does not mean I won't find this person to the ends of the Earth and end him.
I swear it .
