The God And His Bride - Episode 4

 

*Hello everyone, so I guess it's hard for some of you to follow the story, I'm sorry about that, basically I've shared the story into two parts, The life of star now and the events that led to her birth and to her becoming a god's bride, I'm gonna try to make it as detailed as possible and I hope you understand, this part is letting you know that star and the god Lix had met before she was born, I'm gonna post a update in the evening, stay tuned *

Past. 

Love doesn't care.... It's just shows up in your heart.

"Why are you angry?"

The little child voice asks and Alixi glances up from the window where he is standing.

"There you are" He says lightly so as not to spook the little boy or girl. 

"I've been looking everywhere for you" He says again, stretching his hand out to the child light. 

"I thought we were playing hide and seek" The light says again in its child voice, Lix shakes his head, somehow knowing that this child light is a girl. 

Only a female can inaccurately assume. 

"We weren't playing hide and seek, get ready to go back to the pool" He says as the little light settles in his hand. 

"But I like it here, I don't want to go back" 

"You can't stay with me, you have to go back so you can go meet your parents" 

"Can't you be my parent?" The question was so absurd Alixi almost laughs. 

No, infact he can never be the father of any child, he wasn't built like that, the best he could do was be a guardian. 

"I can't be your parent little girl" 

"How do you know I'm a girl?" 

"I can tell" He says even as the little light tries to climb his face, typical child. 

"Well, since you can't be my father, can't you be something else?" Alixi frowns 

"Like what?" 

"Like my husband? I'm scared to go the world by myself" 

Okay, this is a first of its kind, Alixi had gotten passes made at him but never by a child, a child not even one yet. 

"I can't be your husband child, you have to grow up and make one sappy fool fall madly in love for you" Alixi says and the child light pauses. 

"No, I'm too scared, I'm going to wait for you, you better show up" Alixi chuckles and he feels the hand of the light on his face, tracing his eyes. 

"You really won't be my father?" 

"No light, I Won't be your father" 

"Oh well then, you are my husband anyway" She says and Alixi shakes his head at Maia's skills. 

How she makes children completely understand the basics of the world and somehow makes them naive when they eventually become birthed. 

"I won't be your husband child, you better be good and do well, maybe I will visit you" 

"You will?" 

"Maybe" 

"That's a promise?" 

"Maybe, child" 

"You have to promise me you will be with me even after I meet my parents" 

"Why?" Alixi asks the child who by the looks of it is trying to get a vow out of him. 

"Because, you shine bright and I want to be near you everytime" Alixi bursts out laughing and everyone outside his door takes a step back for fear that he might be mad. 

What they don't know is that this little child has managed to break through the thousand years of ice Alixi has wrapped around his soul. 

"Child, You shine brighter, You are like the pole star, you have to shine brightly in other for us to meet again in the future?" 

"That's a promise this time?" 

"It's a promise child, you have my blessing" Alixi says and finally, the great and mighty god Alixi blesses someone.

Same Night. 

Panchin Island. 

Luci stands from besides her husband, wrapping the comforter around her naked body as she pads to the open balcony doors. 

The words of the shopkeeper kept replaying in her mind all through the rest of the evening. 

She has to Pray for the blessing the old lady talked about. 

She stands by the railing and she looks up at the sky, the moon was full and beside it was a star, shining brightly than any other, it was shining alone, as if daring any other to drift near it. 

From the distance she could hear the festival continuing, she only came upstairs because her husband could not hold himself again, he had to have her. 

She sighs. 

Her body feeling lethargic as she lifts her hand to her mouth, blowing a kiss to the star. 

"Alixi. . Uh..

. Luci Mondrian here,...." She starts nervously, as of actually talking to the god face to face. 

"... If you can hear me..please, protect my glowing star..." Even as Luci says this her hand goes to her stomach to pat the growing seed inside. 

"... She needs direction and guidance and I believe that as the patron God of time you are the best to do it... Protect her... Or him.. And please bestow your great blessing on him... Or her" She says finally and just as she finishes a cool breeze gently sweeps her hair off her shoulder. 

She doesn't know if it's her imagination or just wishful thinking but it felt as if the star had become brighter. 

She smiles and walks back inside to lay besides her husband. 

Unknown to her others had seen the ritual she had conducted, they had heard her wishes and they had felt the Lixi blessing settle on the child she's carrying, just as the great and supreme god Alixi blesses the little child light..

Realm of the Gods. 

"Do you really have to go?" 

Maia asks her sister Miko and she nods, Maia did not like the idea that was stuck in Miko's head. 

Why did she have to sacrifice herself all the time? 

"You are sure your wish is to put your soul into a child light?" 

"Yes Maia, stop fussing and make sure you send me to a good family, make sure you go with the plan" 

Yes the plan, the plan being her going to earth to go groom Alixi's bride to eventually take her place as the patron goddess of time and elements. 

Maia does not like the idea but she knows its a necessary evil. 

"I will miss you" 

She says eventually and Miko stops to look at her. 

"I won't be gone for long Maia, the time will pass before you know it" Miko says, winking to her sister and Maia the goddess of childbirth smiles one of her rare smiles.
