The God And His Bride - Episode 7

 

"What's up with you?" Liang asks when I sigh for the thousandth time.

"I'm fine" i say, moving the beef on my plate around.

"Is it that you don't like the food or I'm that much of a bad cook?" My dad asks jokingly and I shake my head.

"The food is lovely dad" I say, eating another bite.

"So, then what's up? You look like you got your heart broken" Dad says and I roll my eyes.

"If that's your way of asking if I have a boyfriend, then no I don't" I say and he lifts his hand in surrender.

"What's up Star?" My mum asks and I smile at her.

"It's nothing Mummy, I'm just very tired" I say and although that's mainly the truth it also isn't.

Most people will say I need to see a psychiatrist for the dreams I'm having and the things I think I can do but it's not that.

I'm not crazy or delusional, I was just born different, in every way, I was years ahead of my mates in everything.

It wasn't actually a surprise when I told my parents of the things I can do and see, they just took it in stride.

The problem here is me getting affected by the things that come to me in my dreams.

It's been so long since I started seeing him, and it's been so long since he stopped coming to me.

So whenever he comes these days and he's angry, I get frustrated, is he real? Is he like me? Is that why we are able to see ourselves in dreams? Why? Why won't he answer my questions.

These questions plague me and I find myself getting frustrated..

We get done with dinner and I help my dad load the dishwasher, living with my parents never gets old.

I don't want to do anything yet, I'm not ready, I have more than enough money to get myself a house and leave comfortably but that's not what I want to do.

"What's up in your head, you look like a demented widow" Liang says, pulling me into sitting on his lap when I go to sit beside him.

I cuddle deep into him and I shake my head.

"I'm weird" I state.

"Yup, that's a given" He says, agreeing.

"I saved someone today" I say, he sits up with me still on  his body

"Did he come?" By he I'm sure you know who Liang means.

"He did"

"Did he stay?"

That's the billion dollar question.

"No" I say, my voice breaking, my parents and my brother know how much my dream guy means to me, when I needed guidance he was there, when I got my heart broken by Ezra, he was there.

Although they haven't seen him, they believe me so they believe in him.

"So, that what got your panties in a bunch" He says lightly and I nod, not bothering to deny the fact.

"Let me just say, that if ever this guy shows up in front of you... I'm gonna kill him for making you go through this kind of pain" He says and that makes me feel better.

"On a total side note, pretty wow wow saw me heal that girl today"

"Say what now?" Liang asks.

"Yeah"

"You've got to be careful Star, not everyone will accept you the way you are" He says.

"I know that"

"What are you going to do?"

"I don't know yet" I say and we settle watching the TV.

I stiffen when the next music act comes up.

Liang picks the remote to change the station and I don't stop him.

It still hurts seeing him, my life is filled with guys breaking my heart, seeing Ezra Kane on TV does not change the fact that he broke my heart.

The worst part is that he became famous so I have to live with seeing him on my TV and everywhere I go.

Other girls have the option of simply deleting their exes number and moving on with their life but I don't, even If I leave this country, chances are I will still see him in the next. 

"Are you alright?" Liang asks and I nod.

"I'm gonna kill that guy too, you know that?"

"If you kill all the guys that break my heart there won't be any man left in this country" I say and he grumbles.

I shake my head before settling deeper into Liang.

When I get into work on Tuesday I don't know what to expect.

What I got wasn't what I was expecting.

I open the door to my office and sitting on my chair is Jeter.

"How may I help you doctor?" I asks

"You ignored my calls" He says by way of greeting.

"I was on break sir, I couldn't pick calls" That's a load of bull, I totally ignored his calls because I knew there was only one reason for him to be calling me.

. Thats all fine and well then" He says and we commence the stare down of all stare downs.

"What do you want Jeter?" I ask finally with a sigh.

I expected him to say something along the lines of me being a freak but the next words that leaves his mouth leaves me breathless.

"Let's date.. Go on a date with me, doctor" He says and I blink.
