The boys dragged her into the bush and they were not merciful, despite her pleading with them. They even got to a point where one of the boys removed a handkerchief from his pocket and placing it on her nose making her fall asleep, then they placed her on the ground.

John, one of the boys, said, "I beg you guys let's do what we are instructed to do so that we can get out of here."

"You always rush everything, she isn't going anywhere, she will be here for you from morning till night if you want because she is already drugged," another said.

"This girl is beautiful. I have asked her out so many times before, but she will not answer me, see how God does His work . She is here now, free of charge," John muttered.

While they were talking, Jamiu was eavesdropping on them. He took off his shoes and held a stick. He gently moved to the place and hit one of them on the head, and the boy fell down, unconscious. 

Immediately, the other boys saw what happened they got on their heels, leaving Summayah lifeless.

"Stupid guys, if I wouldn't' have taken the shortest route to this place, they would have destroyed her life."

Jamiu dropped the stick and carried Summayah. He didn't even bother to take his shoes or look at the guy

. He left him there and went out to a ventilated area and poured water on her and so that she could get some fresh air.

Tapping her,  he said, "Summayah, please wake up." He tapped her for some time till she slowly woke up.

Summayah opened her eyes. "Who are you and where am I?" She slowly got up, still feeling dizzy.

Jamiu held her in place, whispering, "Don't worry, there is no problem."

Summayah heard his voice and recognized it immediately. "Jamiu, what are you doing here? What are you trying to do to me and why are you here? I told you I don't want to see you."

Jamiu, obviously vexed, said, "What does it looks like I am doing here? Trying to harm you? I am here to help you and you are here accusing me. Seriously, what is the reason for hating me as I haven't done anything bad to you? Am I so disgusting to you?"

He held her in anger. "Look into my eyes and tell me that you don't like me and I am disgusting, then I will leave."

Summayah took her eyes away from his and mumbled, "I hate you and don't want you to come closer to me.”

She broke into sobs and continued, “You have been causing problems in my life since you were told I was betrothed to you. It is even better you leave now because you are a hindrance in my life."

"My life was perfect before you came into the picture, you are so disgusting. If I see a disabled man, then I would prefer marrying him rather than you. Just leave me alone, please I beg you."

Jamiu released her hand. "So, you mean a disabled person is far better than me?”

Wiping her tears, she said, "Yes."

Jamiu, annoyed, shouted, "Fine, I understand you."

She flinched. "What problem of mine do you understand?" She goes away. 

Jamiu gasped. "Ah! What kind of a girl is she? Thank God I have already recorded everything that was conspired against her."

He turned around and went straight to the principal's office.

"Good morning, sir, can I come in?"

The Principal answered, “Yes, come in.” He looked up from the file in his hand to see Jamiu. “How are you, Jamiu and why are you here?”

Jamiu stepped inside his office saying, “I came to report an incident that happened today.”

“Ok, I am all ears.”

Jamiu continued, “Today, when I got to school, some girls were busy discussing something about Summayah, so I decided to go check on her. When I got there, someone told me she had gone to pick her books someone had threw away. So, I remembered that the only place she could go and check for her books. There is this bush at the back of the secondary school building."

“When I got there, I met Jennifer and her gang, and some hired boys with Summayah on her kneels, then I recorded everything that happened next.” He played the recorder, handing it to the man to listen.

“What problem did she have with Summayah for crying out loud? She is too callous.” The older man cried after he had seen what they did to the girl.

“Sir, so you don't know her true behavior. The last time we saw Summayah at the uncompleted building, she was the one that took Summayah there, beat her up, then threatened her so that she wouldn't report.”

“But I called Summayah, she told me she went there on her own free will because she was tired of living.”

Jamiu sighed. “It was all a lie sir. It was Jennifer that threatened her. Sir, I have to go back to my class now, should I ask the health prefect to take summayah to the sick bay?”

The man stood to his feet. “Thank you and yes, tell her to do so. I will see you later. This issue must be solved before tomorrow.”

“Thank you, sir.”

“Hello, excuse me the principal asked me to inform you to take Summayah to the sick bay.” Jamie tapped Saadah on her shoulder.

“Okay, I will do that right away.”

With a smile, he said, “Okay.”

Saadah went to check for Summayah. On her way looking around, she saw her sitting on a chair in the school hall. She called out, “Summayah, come over here. The principal asked me to take you to the sick bay.”

Summayah wiped her face with her palm. “Me? Nothing is wrong with me. Why will you take me to the sick bay?”

Saadah replied, “At least you will obey the principal's order first. Come let's go.”

“Ok.”

Saadah observed that she was shaking and it was obvious she is scared of something. “Are you really sure you are okay?” 

Not replying, Summayah got up and made her way to the school's nurse office. When they got to the sick bay, Saadah gave her some painkiller tablets.

“Summayah, take some rest, I will come back and check on you.”

Summayah answered in a weak tone, “Ok, see you later.”

“Jemila, please escort me to the sick bay. I think I am having menstrual pain,” Jennifer ordered her friend, Jemila.

“Wait a little bit, let me wind up what I am doing.” 

Jennifer groaned, “Please be fast.”

“I’m done, let's go.”

When they arrived, Jennifer told her minion to open the door. “Can't you see I am in so much pain?” She scowled.

Jemila opened the door and saw Summayah on the bed.

Jennifer gasped. “Summayah is here, how did she get here? This is the right time for me to get rid of her finally. Nobody would know I killed her,” she thought.

I have a rat poison in my bag. “Jemila go to the class, open my backpack, you would see a bottle there bring it quickly before anyone notice us here.”

"Oh my! I forgot to check on Summayah in the sick bay,” the principal said. He called in his secretary. 

“Yes sir, you called for me."

"Please watch over my office, I will be back very soon," he informed her before standing up and leaving the office.

"Ok, sir."

Meanwhile, Jemila entered the sick bay with the bottle.

Jennifer impatiently said, "Be quick, please enter and shut the door gently."

Jemila entered, shutting the door behind her but due to her foolishness she forgot to lock the door. Jennifer opened the bottle of poison and tried to open Summayah's mouth.

The principal suddenly entered and the bottle of poison fell from Jennifer's hand and colored the white tiles with its blue substance.

Surprised, the principal exclaimed, "Wow, thank goodness I came here!"

Jennifer, shocked and still shivering, said, "Good afternoon sir, I was shocked when you came in. That was why the bottle fell and broke, I wanted to give Summayah her medication.

"You wanted to give her medications while she was sleeping? I knew I would catch you red-handed one day." He picked the bottle up to check the body for the name of the drug and saw that it was rat poison.

"What! Rat poison? Oh my God, come out and kneel down both of you."

"What was our offence? I can't kneel down, I am sorry."

"You can't do what?" the principal asked furiously. 

Jennifer repeated, "I can't kneel down, simple as ABC."

"I don't have time for you right now, I have to check on Summayah first. Don't worry, you can go. I know what to do to both of you."

"We are so sorry, sir, please forgive us," Jemila pleaded, kneeling down on her knees to beg.

"Just get out of my sight both of you!"

On Assembly, the next day after the morning devotion, national anthem, and the school pledge and anthem, the principal made an announcement.

"Good morning, students.”

The school body chorused, "Good morning, sir."

"How are you and how was your night?"

There were a few good and fine, some not wells, and others didn't bother to answer his simple question.

"Alhamdulillah. I am in front of you today for a special announcement m, but before I proceed I would like to call out some names which are Jennifer Johnson and Jemila Akeem. Come out and kneel down."

They both came out from the sea of students. Jemila knelt down, but Jennifer refused to.

"I said kneel down!" the principal exclaimed, but she was still standing.

"Disciplinary committee, come out and assist me in disciplining her."

The disciplinary committee came out with a bunch of canes and he started whipping her until she knelt down.

Pleased, the principal continued, "Thank you. Now back to the issue I was discussing with all of you. These two girls are a disgrace to this school, their parents and the community at large. 

"I caught them about to give one of our students who isn't here today because she is sick, rat poison to drink just because she was unconcious at the sick bay yesterday. That was not all, she was also disrespectful to me yesterday. She was actually planning to eliminate one of our students. So, I hereby expel Jennifer Johnson and give Jemila Akeem five weeks of suspension."

Jennifer stood up. "Is this the worse you can do? I can't blame you, it was my mum's fault who admitted me into this useless school," she hissed and went to her class to carry her bag to go home.

"You can all go to your respective classes."

"I am very sorry, sir, I promise you that I won't involve myself in such cases again," Jemila said.

"Know the kind of friends you mingle with because they will only ruin your future and you will have to face the penalties alone, you get that?"

"Yes, sir, I promise to change for the better."

"No problem, since you promised to change I hereby reduce your suspension date to three weeks."

Jemila happily thanked the principal.

"Now go home, see you in three weeks time with a changed behavior."
