Tears Of Summayah - Episode 11

 

Summayah got to school on Monday and was suprised to see all eyes on her. She didn't know what had happened and why everybody was looking at her and whispering. Some would clap their hands and stop talking when they saw her.

She just neglected them and went straight to her class to look for Az. She didn't see her in class, then she went to look for her.

"Where can she be or is she not in school today?" Summayah muttered . She noticed her class monitor, whose name was Zainab. "Have seen her?"

Zainab replied. "No, I have not seen her, but I think her mom called the principal that she wasn't coming to school today."

"What! She didn't tell me she wasn't coming."

"Story for the gods," Zainab hissed. She looked at Summayah in a disgusting way and left. 

Looking at herself, Summayah asked, "Why is everybody behaving like this?"

She exited the classroom and moved to the notice board to check some activities that needed to be done for the week, but she was shocked to see something bad that was written about her. 

Summayah is a green snake under a green grass. She is just gentle on facial appearance but she is a witch, a boyfriend-snatcher

. She charmed him and now wants to force him in marrying her just because she knows sooner or later she is going to die. 

She wants to destroy his life. She seduces so many men and boys in the neighborhood. I just want all the boys in the school to be very careful because I know the kind of girl she is.

When Summayah finished reading the leaflet that was pasted on the notice board, she became dumbfounded and didn't know what to do.

Some boys and girls passed by her side laughing and mocking her. Without warning, she started crying and nobody was there to console her. After some minutes, she took the paper and tore it. 

She went to her class, feeling disgraced and sat down gently because nobody cared for her except Az and she wasn't around. She checked her locker for her books and found out they were all missing and the person wrote:

You have not seen anything because this is just the beginning until you leave him.

When Summayah saw this, she instantly became scared. She looked at the white board in their class and saw: 'SUMMAYAH THE EVIL GIRL'  written in bold letters.

She got angry and wanted to go out, but some people stood in her way and did not want her to pass.

"Please, can you excuse me?" she mumbled.

"Where do you think you are going? You want to bewitch other guys so that they would get their attention. We know your secret now, so why are you trying to hide?"

"We saw the love letter you wrote to Jamiu and you told him to keep it a secret, but don't you know Jennifer would see it?" a group of girls said.

Crying, Summayah screamed. "You are all liars! I didn't write anything to him!"

"Stop telling lies." They moved closer to slap her, but she saw a teacher coming and ran to the white board to clean what they had written. Summayah left the class crying, but the teacher didn't even notice.

Summayah asked herself, "What did I do wrong? Everybody thinks badly about me. How can I defend myself?" 

She was about to search for her books, but remembered that they would have probably thrown them in the dirt. She went to the place that the garbage was normally positioned in the school. 

I have heard so many times that the place is dangerous but I have to get my books to write in class.

While Summayah was going to look for her books, Jamiu had heard about the matter and he knew it was Jennifer's handiwork. 

He quickly went to Summayah's class and was surprised to see that she wasn't there. He asked a girl about her whereabouts.

"Suwaiba, do you know where Summayah is?" Jamiu asked.

Suwaiba said, "I saw her going out and I think someone took all her notes from her desk, so she went out to look for them.”

“Ok, thanks.” Jamiu thanked her before moving out and start searching for Summayah. Suddenly, he remembered that she might have gone to search for her books in that dangerous place because that was the tradition of the school, it had been like that for years. 

If they wanted to punish someone, they took that person's belongings to that place, so that if they eventually came there, they would punish him/her and nobody would see them.

Summayah saw her books in the dirt and picked them up. She was about to leave, but saw a group of people surrounding her, soon after then she saw Jennifer.

“Where do you think you are going?" Jennifer pushed her. "So you even have the guts to come and pick up your books."

"But I didn't do anything bad to you. I have apologized the other day and I told you I would never go close to him."

Jennifer slapped her. "Who do you think you are deceiving? Do I look like an idiot to you?"

Summayah cried. "I swear I didn't go near him."

"I saw you and your so-called friend talking with Jamiu and you told me you don't have anything to do with him."

"I didn't go near him. He was the one that gave me something that day and I didn't collect it," Summayah protested.

"I am going to deal with you in a way that Jamiu will hate you and would not want to spare a glance at you," she said with a glare.

Summayah kneeled on the ground. "Please, I am begging you." 

Jennifer glared. "Can you see this knife? If you shout, I will make sure I kill you right here."

"No, I am not shouting."

"Just obey and there will be no problem. You see these guys just want to have their way with you."

"Their way? Please I don't understand this. Let me go."

"I won't let you go because if I do, you won't learn your lesson. I want you to learn it in a very hard way. Don't worry though, you will understand when you get there." Jennifer looked at Summayah with utmost hatred. 

"Guys, take her to the bush and do as I have instructed you to do," Jennifer ordered.
