Ada's Dilemma 3
Conversations started between the woman and Ada immediately the engine started.
“What’s your name dear”? The woman asked. Ada told her her name and the woman continued with the conversation as she drove through the streets.
“My name is Mrs Brenda and my husband’s name is Luke; we have two children; Charity is fourteen years old while her brother is eleven. The woman kept on introducing herself while Ada was fast asleep until they reached the front of a black gate.
She pressed the horn three times before the gateman opened the gate.
“Are you sleeping on duty”? She asked as she rolled down her glass.
“I’m sorry ma”, the gateman apologised as the car entered.
The house was a very beautiful bungalow . Ada was surprised to see such a beautiful building for the first time in her life. Her eyes opened with amazement as she came down from the car.
“You are welcome to your new home”, the woman said.
The gateman closed the gate and went to collect Mrs Brandon’s bag.
“Welcome madam”, he said smiling.
“How are you Stones”? She asked.
“I’m fine madam”, he said as he collected the bag.
Ada was surprised that a person can bear Stone as a name. She wanted to laugh but didn’t want to be in trouble so early.
“Take the bag to my room as I show Ada her new room”, Mrs Brandon said to Stone.
Stone opened the front door and they all entered the house

. Mrs Brandon opened the door to one of the rooms and said to Ada, “this is your new room”.
“Thank you ma”, Ada said as entered the room.
“Good night, you will be showed around tomorrow”, Mrs Brandon said as she shut the door behind her.
Ada pressed the switch and the light was on. She opened her opened her mouth with amazement because of the kind of beautiful room she was given. She jumped on the well made bed and before she knew it, she slept off.

It was a very bright Saturday morning. The rays of the sun pierced through the curtain of the window directly into Ada’s eyes. Ada moved away from the rays to a corner of the bed as she was still enjoying her sleep. The sound of the knock on the door woke her up. She had a sound sleep after a very long time.
A small boy entered the room and said, “Aunty, good morning, you are being called in the sitting room”.
Ada followed him to the sitting room where she saw that the whole family was already sitting down.
“Good morning sir, good morning ma”, Ada greeted humbly but shyly.
Mr Brandon started by saying, “I heard your name is Ada, and you must be a very good girl”.
Every member of the family introduced themselves to Ada then Mrs Brandon took over the conversation.
“Charity and Hope are quite busy with their academics and they won’t have time for the house chores. That is why I’ve given you the opportunity to take care of things in the house”, she explained while Ada listened carefully.
“Are you okay with the job”? Mr Brandon asked.
“Yes sir, she said.
Ada resumed work almost immediately as she cleaned everywhere in the house and washed the whole the whole dishes in the kitchen. She also made the lunch for the house as a test from Mrs Brandon. The kitchen was excellent and Ada was granted the opportunity to prepare the food for the house from then onward.
Her brilliance also contributed to Charity and Hope’s academy. She helped them with their home works and she gained the trust of everyone in the house.
She had enough food to eat, nice bedroom to sleep and she had opportunity to read Charity’s books. She impressed everyone by her hard work and she was being salary by Mrs Brandon as a reward for her excellence.
Charity and Hope loved her so much that she indirectly became their elder sister. She was like Mrs Brandon’s second daughter.
