All hope was lost for the search of the missing children.  The king and the parent had given up and accepted their fate.  The king had bound everyone from going to Erelu forest for anything at all.

Sule’s carpentry business was no longer moving forward as his access to the wood in the forest had been cut off.

The native doctor had confirmed that mama Obi didn’t have miscarriage and her belly has grown bigger proving that the baby is kicking.

Anayo was badly troubled and always regret that he left his friend behind when they went hunting.  He always prayed for his friends everyday because he knew he had smart and intelligent friends. He had refused to go anywhere outside the house because he was always sobbing.  He would sit under the mango tree in front of their house and weep day in day out.

Ifeanyi’s father was a very confidence man and he didn’t worry a lot because he knew the type of son he raised.

‘”He will be back” he always said.

Nkechi’s mum had no one to help her with her chores so she always remember Nkechi anytime she had to do the chores by herself; this always make her sob.  Her father on the other hand always stood by his wife and he consoled her even though he was also trouble.

Chika and Ada’s father didn’t give up on the search for his children and he paid youths heavily to help him with the search.  Their mum, Mama Chika always waits outside every evening hoping a miracle will happen that her children will be back.

---------------------------

Sule was sweeping the front of his hut when he saw a young person coming out of Erelu forest.  He stood to his feet and look closely and behold it was Ifeanyi.  Ifeanyi also spotted him from afar and they ran to meet each other .  They hugged each other and tears rolled down from Sule’s eyes.

“Welcome my son” Sule said happily.

“Thank you Papa” Ifeanyi said as he removed his hands from Sule’s back.

“Where are your friends”?  Sule asked curiously.

“I don’t know where they are, we were all sold to different masters by the slave traders”, Ifeanyi said with tears in his eyes.

“You got us all worried”, Sule said.

Sule decided to follow Ifeanyi home and some villagers saw them and ran to meet them happily.  The news about Ifeanyi’s arrival had spread like wide fire all over Amantu village.  The other children parents left what they were doing and ran towards Ifeanyi place.

Ifeanyi was busy telling the story of his experience and how they were kidnapped to the villagers around when the parents arrived

. As this was happening….

“Nkechi!!!” a young girl screamed and everybody turned to her direction.

Nkechi parents ran toward her and the three hugged with joyful tears all over their faces.  It was very miraculous to have seen two of them the same day.

The full moon at midnight contributed to the nice atmosphere for Nkechi and Ifeanyi to narrate their ordeals.

---------------------------------

Obi and Steve went separate ways as Steve decided to find his home all by himself. He entered Erelu forest from the other side and started running.  He got to the pit where they were been kidnapped. He looked inside the pit and saw nothing.  He started running again to Amantu village. He stopped immediately he heard the footsteps of someone running from the other side, the foot step also stopped and Obi picked up a very long stick and move the direction of the sound. He walked silently with his heart raising.

“Who is that”? He yelled.

“Obi is that you”?  The familiar voice said immediately.

“Chika that is your voice”, He said as he dropped the stick and ran towards the direction.  Chika came outside from the other side and opened his arms; they hugged as hot joyful tears rolled down their cheeks.

“I’ve missed you” they said to each other.  They narrated their stories as they walked out of Erelu forest.  They came out of the forest and headed for Sule’s hut but didn’t meet him there.  They then went to Chika’s place and knocked on the door but there was no response.  They knocked again but there was still no answer.  They opened the door and saw Chika’s parents seating down with tears all over faces.

Mama Chika’s face brightened up immediately she spotted the children, the four of them hugged for a very long time.

“Where is your sister”?  Mama Chika asked expecting a positive answer.

“It is a very long story” Chika said.

“Is she alive”?  Papa Chika asked.

“Hopefully” Chika said.

Chika’s parents followed the boys to Obi’s house where the parents were outside talking with some villagers.  Obi ran through the crowd towards his parents.  Shout of happiness filled everywhere as Obi hugged his parents.  Chika went back home with his parents.  They were surprised to see a very beautiful red car in front of their house; they wondered what could be going on.

Ada stepped down from the car and she ran to meet her parents and their trouble was all over.

------------------------------------------

The king summoned the dare-devil to the market square the next day and organized a party sponsored by Mr. Brandon.  They all danced with happiness and Mr. Brandon travelled back home.
