Salvation (An Arranged Marriage ll) - Episode 10

 

I bite my lip, wringing my fingers as the police go over the security footage.

My other hand refuse to leave Kane's, I have to make sure he is alright, I have to be sure that he's beside me.

"I'm okay Ani" He says when he sees my reaction to all that is going on.

I don't reply him, I just chew my lip some more and hold on tight to his hand.

"There's no sign of anyone going near your car, who ever rigged it must have done so while you were at home" Camden says. Looking away from the footage.

My eyes goes to kane and he looks murderous.

Someone infiltrated the house on a hill.

Someone dangerous came close enough to rig his car up with a molotov?

Is it even a molotov?

What if the driver hadn't gone out for a smoke? What if.. . He had died? It could have been Maurice.

Hands hold me steady at my back and I turn to see Yoel give me a smile.

"There is another option though" Camden says and I turn to him. 

"It could be that who ever did this is someone close to you, maximum security I'm sure is provided at your home, it will be hard for a person to get in and out" 

My body tenses, no, he must be wrong, that's never going to happen. 

I feel Kane's hand tenses in mine, his eyes goes to Yoel and even I begin to shake my head because I see where his thoughts are going. 

"It's not Yoel" I say and Yoel seems to understand what just went through Kane's brain. 

"What? Dude.... F*ck man.." Yoel says, outraged. 

"Well, How would I know it isn't him? He's been constantly around hasn't he?" 

I can understand the reason why Kane would think like that, but it's not Yoel, I know. 

"It can't be Yoel Kane, I've been getting the gifts even before I met him" I say softly, trying to make sure Yoel does not get more outraged. 

Camden watches us and I see Kane nod, but obviously not convinced. 

"I won't be sure it's not him until I see the footage" Kane says. 

"Jesus..." Yoel starts. 

"What is wrong with you? I'm not the fucking rigger, why don't you concentrate all that jealous energy on finding the culprit? Uh? I'm seriously very offended you would think I would stalk a defenseless female" Yoel says and Kane shrugs, not backing down. 

"Why would I rig a car which I'm going to enter? Why? I even went close to save your driver you bias fucker." 

"Why do I have to believe a thing you say? Why are you even around her in the first place?" Kane asks and I'm confused, why is he acting this way? I know in some part of his mind he knows that Yoel is not the person who did this. 

We are wasting precious time arguing. 

I open my mouth to answer but Yoel's response cuts me off. 

"Who I don't know? Maybe because she's f*cking human? Have you thought that the reason I'm getting close to her is because if that and because she has a lovable personality? She reminds me of my late sister man, that's the reason I'm here, you can go fuck your self and while you are at it you can take your stupid jealousy along too"Yoel says and it's obvious he's angry. 

I didn't know I reminded him of his sister, my heart melts and my hand leaves Kane to reach for Yoel who eludes me and steps out of the room. 

Kane is looking at the hand I just dropped. 

This is a mess. 

"Well, Send us a footage of your security camera's when you get home" Camden says and Kane nods.

. Manic.. 

"Hey, are you alright?" I ask as soon as we exit the room. 

"You know Yoel isn't the one doing all this, he lacks a motive" I say. 

"Forgive me for not wanting to loose you as soon as I just got you back" He says gruffly, his voice angry and I drop it. 

If he's angry at the situation in not going to he his scape goat, He took his anger out on Yoel which is not cool. 

When we exit the station Maurice is standing there with an umbrella, it's begun to drizzle. 

I look at the dark skinned man I a sob rips out of my throat. 

I would have died if something had happened to him. 

He's been a constant since I got to the King's house. 

I give him a hug, he's momentarily stunned, the umbrella drops a little bit of water hits me. 

He seems to regain himself because he pats my back awkwardly once, I step away. 

"You are okay" I say. 

"That I am, Mrs King, I brought around your car" He says and I nod.

He leads me and Kane into the car and I enter, sitting away from the angry man beside me.. 

My eyes scan the parking lot and I don't see any sign of Yoel. 

He must have gone home.

I unlock my phone, doing a search on him. 

There are articles if his sister, she had been a painter, an artist like me. 

She died in a car accident a year ago, the articles says Yoel was devastated over it. 

I see a picture of her, she's got short hair like me, blond hair, when I look closer I see the resemblance to me. 

He must have been devastated when she died. 

I sigh, resting back against the leather of the car.

I wonder if I should call him now or wait till later, I have to apologise for Kane's behavior. 

I close my eyes for a moment but I soon feel my body moving and I slowly open my eyes to see we at the hallway of the house..

I curve my hand around Kane's neck as he steps into my room. 

"Ummm, You smell nice" I Whisper and he freezes. 

What ever happened from there should be blamed on the fact that I was sleepy.

"I missed how you smell, some days, I stayed awake, trying to get your smell and voice out of my head" I whisper sleepily. 

He says nothing. 

Just stands with me in the middle of the room,just past the door. 

"Other days I missed your touch, the way you sounded when I brought you pleasure, I missed that too, what I missed the most was your mouth, the things you did.. How it felt...., will.. Will you kiss me now Caspian? Please I've waited for so long" I whisper, my head still in the crook of his shoulder, my eyes closed. 

I feel my body moving and my legs instinctively wrapped around his waist as he kisses me. 

He finds the nearest flat survive which incidentally is the door and my back is against it. 

My legs hit the ground because I can't hold on and my hands grabs tufts of his hair..

His hands wraps around my neck and I see brilliant stars. 

"I've waited... Waited so long.." He says, and I want more kissing, less words.

I communicate that by pulling his head to me and he comes willingly. 

His legs goes between mine, separating them, in the back of my mind I know this isn't supposed to be happening. 

Why isn't this supposed to be happening? When it feels so good. 

"Ani, You have to tell me" He says, kissing my neck.. 

"Umm?" I mumble, my head falling back, granting him access.. 

"You have to tell me if you don't want this, I won't be able to stop if you don't say anything now" He groans when my hand brushes him down there. 

I freeze as his words penetrate my brain. 

It's like the coldest of water. 

I step back, extracting my hands from him, he groans. 

"Sometimes.. Sometimes like this I just want to be bad" He says and I giggle a little. 

"Don't laugh woman, you are not the one who's going to be taking cold baths" He says. 

I step away from him, gulping. 

He throws me a smoldering look before exiting the room. 

I hear a door bang close somewhere in the house and I lean back against the door. 

My phone dings and I scramble to get it from where my clutch had fallen to the ground.. 

"Next time, I won't stop, until you scream my name" Kane says and I gulp, wondering why, for the love of sexy men I stopped Kane just now.
