Pierced Rose - Episode 2

 

On stepping out of the car, there were beer bottles strewn about on the lawn.

"Maggie, this is a wrong idea..I am not  in a party mood..." Reginah whined.
"We are already here so we getting inside,"Maggie retorted, her and Mary pulling her inside.

When they got in, most people were tipsy and it was only eleven o'clock. Something with these parties is there are usually friends and everybody usually knows somebody.

There was a really loud music, very irritating to the ears . Since Brad arrived to the house party, his eyes were always looking around for that beautiful girl he saw earlier.

He saw her having lunch with Maggie and Mary so he was sure she would come. He didn't know what made her special. What made him want to know her more??It felt like a magnetic pull..

Normally he wasn't the type to stalk a woman around but this time he felt different. Girls were all over him wanting to either dance or just sit by his side but tonight he had to decline. He didn't wanna create the wrong impression on his chocolate girl...

"Hey ladies," A guy said approaching Maggie, Mary and Reginah.
"Hey Mike," Maggie replied but  Mike's eyes were stuck on Reginah....
"Reginah is that you???" Mike stuttered hugging her but Reginah was all confused.
"I can't believe its you," Mike continued, his hand over his mouth.

By the shock on Reginah's face, Mike was sure She couldn't remember him.
"Don't you remember me???"
Reginah shook her head confusingly.
"Mike the guy who used to carry you in his bike, primary days." Mike tried jogging her mind but nothing.
"The guy who used to steal  chocolate in your lunch box during breaks," Mike tried again and this time she remembered, "Is this really you, you have grown, you look more of a bad boy than a nerd..."

"Yah Reginah, I have grown handsome right???"
"Yes, you have grown handsome but your name was Michael not Mike.."

Reginah made her friends and Mike burst into laughter, "Come on,Mike short form of Michael." Mike smiled and Reginah looked away embarrassingly.
"Okay Reginah, see you around. As the host of this party I have to ensure  my house is still intact

. See yah around ladies.." Mike retorted, kissing her cheek.

Mike was  Reginah's crush back in the days, wherever he was around her, her heart would flutter uncontrollably in her chest but now weirdly she couldn't remember him.

"Girlfriend, let me go get us some drinks." Maggie stated and  Mary disappeared among the crowd. 

The air was warm and suffocating.
Reginah was in a dilemma on what to do, people were playing truth and dare, I rather not and confessions games in circles in the living room.

On the stairs, some were making out and others chatting around. Some girls were also taking their shirts off... The scene was traumatic  and disgusting..

Finally Brad spotted his chocolate girl. There she was in the middle of the crowd looking confused. She was playing with her fingers looking around as if she was looking for someone.

Brad felt like it was his chance to apologise for earlier but he was so damn tensed. He felt nervous, him approaching a girl was as easy as abcd but this chocolate girl seemed like a hard nut to crack..

Looking at the glass of whisky he was holding, he walked towards her.

"You can have it." He shoved the glass of whisky on her face. What if she doesn't drink whisky??? He thought but it was already too late.

"Thanks girlfriend."
Reginah smiled thinking it was  Maggie  only to turn and see Brad sending her a tender smile.
"Aarrrgh, you???" Reginah turned the other way.
"Am i so ugly that you can't look at???"
"Leave me, I don't wanna talk to you..." Reginah grinned.

Brad rotated her hips so she turned around and was face to face with him.

. He looked cute with the bad boy look on: Jeans, V-neck shirt and desert boots that complimented his perfect body. Reginah was lost in his black eyes for a moment, they seemed to hide awesome cruelty..

"I said I am sorry. Why are you stubborn and arrogant???"
His hands on her waist ignited a fire in her, a strange beautiful feeling all along...
"What do you want in return,s-x???"
"No, I just want to talk to a beautiful girl in a party.."
"This one is not interested, look elsewhere..." She begun walking away but he held her hand,"Just tell me your name chocolate girl and I will leave you alone."
"You have even given me a pet name, Lol..You are really crazy..."
"I am still waiting..."
"I am Reginah, can I go now???"
"Okay," Brad lifted his hands up in surrender..

Reginah  groaned and walked away. Brad wanted to follow her but there was Isabelle dragging him to dance.

Reginah found herself in the kitchen where there was free endless drinks lying everywhere....

Reginah took a bottle of whisky and gulped the content down her throat. The burning sensation in her throat felt good. She needed to forget her miseries for a moment.

"You were here drinking a bottle of whisky alone while  you rejected me??? How ironic.." Brad chuckled sitting on the counter next to her after managing to hide from Isabelle.

"Are you following me???" Reginah yelled, leaning on the counter since she had begun being tipsy and unstable.
"No, its just a coincidence. I am in the kitchen to get a drink and you are here having a drink."
"Okay, I will leave you to get your drink.." Reginah lifted her hands in surrender, staggering backwards..

She took two steps forward before stepping on a glass and fell on Brad's arms.
"You are so beautiful," Brad stated, a naughty glint in his eyes as he held his eyes in hers for a moment.

"Let me go???" Reginah ordered looking away. Brad let her lose and held her again in a split of a second before she could fall making her scream, drawing attention.
"I can't drop you, trust me.." Brad giggled.
"If you don't let me go, I will spat on you..." Reginah hissed, some weird feeling surging through her body while she held tightly on his shirt.
"What if I don't???"
  Their moment was interrupted by jealous Isabelle, "Brad, I command you to put her down. How dare you??? I am your date."

Brad gently stood Reginah on her feet and took Isabelle's hand pulling her out of there before she created unnecessary drama..
"Reginah, are you okay???" Maggie asked, running to Reginah, "I have been looking for you.."
"I wanna go home," Reginah sobbed..
"Okay, I will take you home let me just tell Mary we are leaving..."

Maggie was not back yet so  Reginah staggered to the garden through the back door.
In the sky, the moon provided a natural disco lighting.
Reginah outstretched her hands to feel the smell of fresh air when she felt arms around her waist..

"Hey baby, do you wanna get dirty???" The drunk guy asked falling with her on the ground.
"Let me go!!Leave me alone!!!Leave me!!!!" Reginah screamed and Brad came running to her rescue. Luckily, he had been looking for her...

Brad freed Reginah from the guy and she hugged him tightly breathing rapidly, crying in his arms.

"Let's get you home, gorgeous..." Brad whispered carrying her in his arms, he couldn't help but admire her. She felt like mystery...
