"It's been over a decade. How much longer are we going to have to wait?"
"Until everything is in place. Then we activate her."
"She's done well no doubt. It's going to make things alot easier for what's to come. Has she been keeping fit?"
"She's been keeping fit. She goes to the palace each year for a month or more to train and stay in shape . She's still the greatest assassin the world has ever produced no doubt. I once watched her kill a squirrel from half a mile with a simple bow and arrow. Plus, non of the rest of the clan members despite spending every waking moment training has been able to beat her in a one on one."
"How about her weapons skills?"
"She's as lethal with her left hand as she is with her right."
"Wow! I wonder how those closest to her haven't noticed."
"She's just that good."
"Do you think she'll go through with everything once she gets enlightened?"
"That's the only thing that worries me. The council accepted her severance offer but still demanded reparations in terms of the flesh. And to test my loyalty to the cause, told me to collect it

"Isn't that why you asked that fool to do it?"
"Yes. But the way I see it, he's a loose end that needs tying. It won't take much effort for her to extract the information she needs. Even as a child, she made full grown, highly trained men pee themselves just because they heard she was on her way. That's the reason why even the biggest cartels and syndicates in the world steer clear of her path. I would have let her be, but she's too valuable. She may not owe the organization anything more but she owes me."
"A father's love is something that can't be severed I suppose," he replies laughing.
He throws his companion a dangerous glare and stands up to leave, "See you later. Alhamdulillah," he says and slams the door not waiting for a reply.
"Alhamdulillah," he says to the closed door. He enjoyed teasing his friend and brother but truth be told, he understood his pain. The girl was one of a kind like her brother before her. He could get why his friend decided not to have more children after the death of his son and the defection of his daughter.
At the continent's south,
"Now that your terms are up and there is a new sitting president, getting a divorce won't be as big a national scandal."
"What? Evah my love, I need you now more than ever. Please, don't do this."
"Do what exactly. You ended this marriage the second you made up your mind to cheat on me. I'm just doing it right."
"I'm sorry."
"So you've said. Tell me something, who between the two of us did you love?"
"I loved you both. I still do."
"Then there's nothing to talk about. Look, I need some space from you to think."
"What's there to think about. I love you, we are a family. Please don't leave," he tries to talk her out of her resolution to divorce him. Unfortunately, he could see it only got stronger with everything he said.
"My mind is made up Mbabane. You and I both know I don't share well. And as you seem undecided, I'm leaving....," she says and turns walking away, "Wait, actually there is one more thing I need to know, are you asking me to stay as insurance? Incase you find your other family and they hate you? Am I just the rebound or consolation?"
She asks stopping to get an answer. He remains silent. Basically an admission of guilt.
"Just as I thought. You'll be hearing from my lawyer. Goodbye," she says and resumes leaving.
"Evah! Eve my love..." he tries to call her back to no avail.
Keep walking Eve, just keep walking. You are doing the right thing,' she keeps telling herself till she gets to the car, turns on the ignition and drives off. As she leaves, tears fall from her face.

. She cries for her lost years, her sons, her home.
She'd moved out of their room after his confession. She'd hoped missing her would make him come find her, reassure her. Tell her that she was the one he loved most. That his infidelity was as a result of a moment of weakness. That even when they found his other family, he would stick by her like the good man she believed she'd married. But he never did.
That morning, she'd had enough of waiting and packed all her bags. She'd then had one of the servants take them to her car before going to talk to him. Still hoping, but he just failed her. I mean what woman wants to hear her husband is in love with someone else? She was really dying to meet this woman that had so captured her husband so much so that even after over two decades of not seeing each other he still could not choose. Who knows, she may have moved on upon realising he was never coming back. Why would he risk their marriage like that?
She drove off to her apartment on the other side of town.
