She gently laid her on the bed and covered her up. The girl was so beautiful, she also felt this strong connection to her. This was the first time she was setting eyes on this family but for some strange reason she felt this inexplicable way to protect this little girl. She also could not understand why the girl called her mom. All she had been told when she woke up at that hospital was that she'd been in a bad accident and that's why she couldn't remember anything . She'd been told her name and that she would be staying with a family until her memories came back. She'd naturally assumed it would be as the caretaker because she probably had no idea how to do anything else or did she. These people had saved her life and offered her some place to recover, how bad could they be?
So she hadn't protested when they'd brought her here and told her she'd be staying here until all her questions were answered. Now this, did she honestly look like these kids' mother? She should go back down stairs, she hadn't seen their mother but figured she'd be in the house by now.
Meanwhile, "Dad, what's going on here? Jay said her mom was dead. I don't understand."
"It's a long story, there is this technology we've been working on for some time now, it finally worked

. I was hoping to bring back both your moms but it needed cell samples from her. You know how your mother died. There was nothing to be done."
"So you brought back Jay's mom?"
"Yes. Are you okay?"
"I guess. I'm happy for her. I just...why didn't she seem to remember Jay?" Amin changes the topic.
"She doesn't have Jay's mother's memories. Not without a mapping of her brain."
"I'm not going to pretend I understand any of this but okay. So she'll be staying with us while you work?"
"Yes. Now go to your room and rest."
He turns just as he hears a door open and close upstairs. Jay's mom must be coming back down. He turned to look at his dad one last time before going. He passes her on the staircase.

. She smiles at him. She seems nice. He could tell where his sister got her good looks and charm from.
"Mr. Amir, welcome. I wasn't told much but I'm glad you offered me your home while I recuperate from the accident. Thanks."
He looks at her for a while, explaining this would be a lot of work.
"Don't mention it. It's your home too," he tells her and turns to leave.
"O...k, not that I understand any of that but where is your wife. Didn't she travel with you?"
"Look, just take care of our children okay," he tells her with his back still turned on her.
"I'm sorry..."
He turns sharply, "Are you honestly this slow? Why do you think she called you mom and passed out? It's because she never expected to see you again. You were in a bad accident. Put two and two together and stop looking so lost already," he says in one breath before storming out the house. She was left there lost for words.
