I woke up 4:30am the next day, I rushed all mywormy, so my aunt wont know I woke up latemy aunt got up 5:30 am
Tola come here, is this how to sweep, you should not extend your hopelessness to your chores, sweep them again.
I obeyed, I swept it and washed my the clothes, by the time I was done she had woken up her kids they where eating cornflakes
Drink that garri, I dont want you to go to school on an empty stomach, I sat down to eat because I was extremely hingry, this is the spare key she said
She dropped me in school, thanks ma, I said
Funke's POV
I dropped her off, make sure you get home as early as possible, your school closes by 2pm
Ma, do they have bus in the school or how do I go home, she asked
You Trek, that's what low class people do, or did your mother give me money to take care of you.
I zoomed off, I am not happy she is staying with me, I hate liabilities, I don't like families interrupting my life, Mama begged me, almost kneeling down, and my children have been complaining abt needing help around the house, Maybe God wanted to ease my stress, I wonder why she couldnt tell Brother kola to pay her, I hissed
Omotola's POV
I didn't make friends in school, I was scared of being insulted, every student went out to eat during break except me, I pretended to be sleeping.
I heard two girls talking, how come she is sleeping, first day in school and she is doing like a sickler, they teased as they walked passed
After school that day, I tried going home, I lost my way so many times that day, thank God I mastered the name of the street, after asking for description from lots of people, I got home, and i got home 15minutes after 5, my aunt's and her kids where back, I was already shivering before I entered inside the house.
Funke's POV
Good evening ma and sir, she greeted, good evening my husband responded, what is good about the evening, no tell me I screamed
Just one day in this place and you have proved to be way ward and irresponsible, extra 3hrs, I said landing her hot slaps, nowgo into the kitchen and prepare dinner, make rice. She walked into d kitchen straight.
Honey, did you not give her transport, my husband asked, that's none of your business I replied, you should not be this mean to this girl.
I know , I don't support her staying here, but if you are doing something, do it well he said

Omotola's POV
How I wish I could go back to the village, it's better to be there living with hunger than being here, I was supposed to cook 5 cups of rice, I added two extra cup, when it was ready I hid some portion for myself inside the cup board then served the rest.
I hope she cooked this food rest Funke, you know I don't eat rubbish, her husband said
Why won't she cook it well, 2 years in the village
