Dr Kemi's POV

I drove Omotola to her aunt's place this evening, she was moody through out the drive, I know she was scared but she has to go back home.

I entered into the house to talk to her, omotola what are you doing here she shouted

Good evening ma, I greeted, she looked at me like who is this one, Am Doctor Kemi, please ma forgive Tola, she is just a child, beating a child to the extent of sending her out at night that is really outrageous, what something bad might had happened, like rape or she being used for rituals. I said

Did you come here to advice me, she shouted.

No, I came to beg on her behalf, and I also want you to know that you over reacted . But all the same please forgive her.

A small boy almost the same age as Tola, if am not mistaking knelt down with Tola begging her, she finally forgave her.

Omotola take good care of yourself I said leaving, thank you so much ma, Good bless you, She said.

Thank you for bringing her back, Taiwo said.

 Funke's POV

I saw Omolola walked into the house, thank God I said silently, I don't know what I would have told Bunmi.

What are you doing here I shouted, then a lady came in and started begging me, did I just say beg, she blamed me for treating her so bad, I would have shouted at her, but I remember she said she is a doctor, I don't want anyone to sue me, so I had to forget the issue especially when Taiwo knelt down with her begging me. The boy is just different from me and his siblings.

The lady left.

Clap for yourself, you went about telling people about me, as if am as worse as your mother who neglected you.

Go into the kitchen and wash the plates, then today them up, we have already eating.

Lola sighed thank God she is back

I smiled, just today that I asked you to sweep, imagine how you where panting.

Omotola's POV

The words my aunty said pierced my heart, is my mom really neglecting me

. I washed all the dishes, thank God Doctor Kemi gave me food to eat and also packagd snacks in my bag. She even gave me #100.

I washed my aunt's car and later clean the house, I cleaned the shelves and found the money my aunt was looking for inside one of the books, thank God it was in her presence, she would have said I returned it back.

Put it on the table she said going into her room. It was already 11:45pm, I have to go to bed, there is school tomorrow.

Funke's POV

Tola, this is past 6 and you are still sleeping, oh you have grown so much wings I said

She ran out of the room, saying am sorry ma, you should tell that to yourself for coming to this world. You must wash this clothes before going to school.

Ma, i have tests, she said, if you don't wash those clothes, don't go to school.

I left for work by 7pm.

Omotola's POV

Immediately aunt left, I soaked all the clothes and took a cab to school, it was just #20 thanks to Dr Kemi for the money she gave me.

I wrote the test, then sneak out of school during break to wash the clothes, one thing I will try not to joke with, is my studies.

The clothes where so much that I washed from 12pm to 4pm. My aunt came back earlier than usual, why are you still washing the clothes she asked , I was shivering .

Erm rm i stammered

 I started crying.

You find it very easy to cry, it's now a part of you, I don't think you can do a day without it she said.

I will let this slide, but never in your life, go against my orders.

Thank you ma, I said

For the first time, my aunt pardoned me, I don't know why, but I am so excited.

I finished washing the clothes, I went inside to prepare food.

Funke's POV

I came back from work, I met Tola still washing,

Why are you still washing by this time,  I said , she stammered

What gave you the audacity to go against my orders, am sorry ma, she cried.

You are so used to crying, it's now part of you, I forgive you for this one but never go against my orders again.

I walked into my room, not that I wanted to pardon her, but I don't just have the strength to beat her, I felt sick in the office, so I was asked to go home to rest.
