The following morning, chief Adekunle sent for Mr Okafor, because he felt there is no point forcing the children into a relationship.

Mr Okafor, you are welcome, said chief Adekunle upon Mr Okafor's arrival.

They shook hands, before they finally sat.

Chief, it's been a while, I called at your office several times, but i was told you were busy, said Mr Okafor.

That's true, I have really been busy these past weeks, please don't be offended, pleaded chief Adekunle.

Mr Okafor, the main reason i invited you over is because of our children. Immediately Mr Okafor heard that, he sat up properly.

Chief, have you finally selected a date for the wedding, he asked with excitement written on his face.

Chief tapped him on the shoulder and said, i wish that was the reason, instantly, the excitement on Mr Okafor's face vanished.

Dad, you are getting me more confused, what really happened, asked Mark.

Can you imagine chief Adekunle called off the whole marriage arrangement between you and Stacey, saying it's best we let you both be,said Mr Okafor.

Oh my God, dad, this is so wonderful, am so happy father, replied Mark.

Will you shut up you fool, do you know what this means, it means i won't be able to get what i needed from chief anymore, replied Mr Okafor.

Mark just stood, looking at his father as he gulped down the alcohol down his throat.

So Mr Adekunle thinks he can deny me of my position in the government, said Mr Okafor, I will make sure i teach him a lesson he will end up regretting for the rest of his life.

What is the matter my angel, inquired her mum who was surprised by the sudden behavior. Mum, am still confused, how do I tell Jack am in love with him, i don't even know if he loves me in return, said Stacey.

Her mother smiled and walked up to her, don't work yourself up over that my dear, I know he feels same for you, she replied.

How are you sure mum, asked Stacey,just call it a mother's instinct, all will be well my child, said her mum giving her a reassuring smile.

I will leave you now, said her mum, okay mum, talk to you later,and she exited the room. Stacey got tired of staying in her room, so she decided to go outside.

Immediately she got outside, she came face to face with Jack, Jack gave her a warm smile.

Hello Jack, said Stacey,smiling at him, Stacey you really look happy today, smile looks good on you, you should smile often, he complimented her.

Stacey could not help but blush. Well Jack, am no longer getting married to Mark, that's why am very happy.

On hearing that, Jack couldn't hold his excitement, he wanted to hug her so tight, and spine her round, but he had to control himself.

Okay, thats good to know, replied Jack. I will head straight to my room, he told her.

Stacey thought he would be so happy to hear the news, but she was wrong.

When he called to his room, he started laughing and jumping round, I think it's time for me to tell her how i truly feel about her, he said to himself aloud, because i really want her to know.
