Love-Life of Asante - Episode 26

 

Asante soon had become single once more again and this made it the third time. Perhaps she wasn't just meant to have a man of her own. Perhaps not.

It was through her and Abraham, that the loving memories of her two other friends had been birthed. However, while she was still singled, Adesuwa and Akosua were still in their relationships which seems serious enough to make them tie the knot.

Akosua soon broke the trend of singleness among them. Two weeks after they left the hospital, Asher who heard about all that happened thought it was high time he made the foundational words of Akosua becoming the bone of his bones and the flesh of his flesh.

Asher might have been very fat and food-inclined . He however had ideas. Although he studied economics with the others, he was however not finance inclined. He wanted something more.

After his dad forced him to take up economics as a first degree in order to follow his footstepsbeing the Director General of the Kenya National Bureau of statistics, he accepted the course.

But he had something much more in mind. That was tech. Although he was an average economics student, he was however a tech-geek. To let the sleeping dog lie, he spent so most of his days in Kenyatta University then eating and playing games.

Gaming he believed was the soul of entertainment for the male gender. He however didn't just played games, he got ideas from them

. Ideas from animations in the games which he thought could be used in solving real life problems.

One of the problems he had been able to use his wealth of knowledge in gaming to solve, was as it relates to developing business strategies in the production of Teddy Bears.

He had been able to sell this idea to a team of experts in that field which didn't just give him a temporary contract of designing the process if it's usage, but he also got a full time job in it.

Having gotten a full time job, with a massive flow of income and yearly royalty for his invention and development, he thought the next wise thing for him to do was to marry.

He was already 27, and Akosua 25. "What time could ever have been the best to get married" He had thought within himself.

And so, he decided to go to Akosua's place of work. Akosua was only able to get a teaching job with her class of degree. Although it came with an average salary, she was however comfortable with it. She had this extraordinary interest in children, so she had decided to jettison her economics degree and settle to teach a set of kindergarten pupils. At least she was very good at this.

Driving about 30 miles to her school in the outskirt of the city, Asher thought that right before the pupils would be the best place to propose to her since she loves children.

On entering the class with the other staff who were already aware of his plan, he knelt down before Akosua who was carrying one of the toddlers in her right side and holding a writing book with her left hand.

"Being with you is the best thing that ever happened to me. You accepted me when no one else could ever do.

. Your affection for me killed the boy I was and made me the man I am now. I can never imagine living the rest of my life without you. One more time, allow me to pour out my love on you mercilessly. Will you be my bride?" He said popping out the big question.

Some of the other staff of the school who had followed him couldn't help but blush. "This is the most romantic moment I have ever seen in my life" Came the tiny voice of the head teacher.

The toddlers all kept staring at their teacher and the look on the face of the one she was carrying was even more priceless. He was confused.

Akosua then gave the baby to one of the other teachers. Dropping the book she was holding also, she took Asher's hand and said "Yes" with tears running out her eyes.

"Yesss" came the voices of the other teachers. The sound made most of the toddlers to start crying out of shock. The environment soon became a mixture of joy from the teachers and sorrows from the pupils.

Asher then fixed the ring on her hands, got up and they both hugged. The sight was over romantic.

This was Akosua’s first love tying the knot with her. Yet, Asante on the other hand just had her
