Flashback " One who carries a curse and one who carries a blessing aided by a descendant of the moon goddess shall be your undoing King Legolas. The crown on his head tilted depressinglys he thought of an effective solution to stop this heresy from ever coming to pass. "Can it be stopped." King Legolas asked the blind seer. "I don't see how . The change is coming and soon the faebloods would be overthrown." The seer said, clutching to his staff which served as his eyes. "Then you don't know me." King Legolas retorted, rising from his gold plated throne. "I will stop this blasphemy you just proclaimed seer. The faebloods have been ruling the supernatural world for milleniums and its not about to change." The faeblood king declared and reached out for his dagger. The bloodstone dagger glowed crimson red to welcome it's master. A wicked grin lit his face when he turned to see the blind defenseless seer still standing before his throne unaware of what was coming. "But to ensure this remains here, we have to make a pact." "What pact, my lord?" The seer queried in innocence. "I thought the spirits have shown it to you." A slash followed and the seer's head fell to the ground like a melon. The seer's body still stood upright a fewer seconds before it followed it's head

. "Done." King Legolas mumbled to himself. He always kept the job done and a stupid prophesy was not about to ruin the legacy he had enforced. He was going to end the prophesy before it could even be put to motion, that he promised. Present day

AVERY'S POV

The predominant supernatural community was in the heart of Athenrim. It was the only place any supernatural could be allowed to be who or what they were meant to be. At least with the exception of vampires. Dressed in a hood that accentuated my face, we searched in hopes for a witch who did not dabble in the dark arts. They were still sly but at least we were assured they would not want our hearts for any potion. Damian found one. Mama Gigi's potuon and brews. A nature witch shop. We walked into the leafy greens store and I could swear it could be used as a greenhouse. The woman saw more customers and rushed to meet us. "Hi!" She greeted, dragging her words. "We need your help." Damian said. "Why would vampires need my help?" The woman replied, giving us a sly grin. She could even read aura, how convenient. "A teleportation spell." Damian finally said toying with a crystal sphere that was on her table. The woman shaked her head non chalantly and finally gave her answer. "Come in." That was really quick, I could smell a rat. A witch without a price was like money without it's value. "What's your price?" I questioned not minding Damian's frown. "Just a little..." The woman dragged and turned to Damisn then it dawned to both of us that she wanted sex. "Wow!" I exclaimed seeing how open the woman was to fang banging. Damian looked quite unshaken and proceeded with the woman to a closed room. Soon I could hear grunting with sheer pleasure. While I was alone. My mind wandered to Henry. I wondered how he was doing. Damian had to mess with his mother's mind to protect us, at least for the mean time. "Henry..." I sent. "Avery help!!!" I could feel the panic in his voice. What was happening? "Henry..." I sent back trying to be as composed as possible. " Tell me what's happening?" "They're going to kill me if you and Damian don't show up. I'm scared." It was probably just a scare but I was far to worried to treat the threat with levity. I could not just leave Athenrim with high hopes that Henry would be fine. I had been with Victor long enough to know how dangerous it could be plus I had lost those I cared about numerous times, I was not about to lose another. Damian strode in, shirtless and sweaty. "She's perfecting the spell." He revealed but I was far too carried away to give him an answer. "Damian, we can't leave." Damian gave me a puzzled look whist wearing his shirt. "Why?" Without hesitation, I told him what was to befall Henry if we did not show up. "You don't know that." Damian stiffened. "I do. He told me." I retorted. "He contacted you? How?" I tried to skirt the question but my mindlink betrayed me. "You are bonded?" Damian's question came as a shock to me. We only bonded with our kind, it was how it was supposed to be. Could Henry be my pair? " Avery, you can't make any drastic decision. You know it's only a trap. You know Victor." Damian said. He was right. I knew Victor and I knew it was a trap but it was one I was willing to take. I had lost a lot of people I loved and Henry would not be added to their list. "I'm willing to risk it." I responded, my throat feeling itchy from defying Damian. "No!" Damian retorted,"you will go with me and we will get the hell outta here." Damian had been my protector and father figure for ages but I was sick of running. I was going take a stand and if it meant the possible death of thousands, so be it. "I'm sorry Damian but I won't." There was no stopping me.

HENRY'S POV

The men keeping me hostage had just finished feeding on a young woman. She was in her early twenties and I remembered my last moments with her before her death. She never thought her life would end this way. I never thought that on my eighteenth birthday, I would be facing death threats from vampires. The woman was thrown to the ground like commodity while the men argued on who to bury the body. Even the high and mighty ones were lazy. "So if Avery does not show up, you'll still kill me." "For sanity sake, would you shut up."The vampires said in unison. I feared their growls on my first day but I was more than calm to be a pain in their ears now. "You know the police would be looking for me soon." I pressed trying to get a decent conversation. It was probably the best I could get. "If the man who sent you hates vampires so much, why would he let you live?" One gave me a wary look before replying. "Not von the blood moon. It was the time the pureblood were created so we are at our weakest on that day. So if Victor kills the pureblood, we will be free." I wondered how gullible this century old being was. Even I knew that was nothing but a bloody lie. "So who is this Victor?" I questioned again, pushing my luck. "I" someone said opening the door. The man who I got to know was the Mastermind if all this was a scrawny looking blonde twenty hair old who looked as innocent as night. He was dressed in a three piece suit and wore leather shoes that were as black as his eyes. "Get out." The man commanded the vampires before calling them back."and take that body with you. You are scaring the child for Christ sake." For reasons unknown, the man did not seem to notice I was afraid of being in a freaking dark room with no source of light but the rays that sometimes passed through the small spaces in the wall or that I was being held against my will and used as leverage to bring people to their doom while that fate awaited me if they did not show up. "Why are you doing this?" I queried when the vampires were out of sight. The man reached for a chair and sat crossing his legs. "No biggie. I just want to help a friend, a really close friend." Talk about psycho! Some people didn't even deserve the power they are blessed with. "And killing people to help someone sounds sane to you." I blasted. The man just let out a suppressed laughter. "You'll do anything for love, Trust me." "Just like Avery will." The man added. What was he implying? Did he mean to say that Avery would come Because she is I'm love with me? "It's a pity your love is star crossed. There's nothing like a blossoming young love." I wished the man would shut up but a part of me was afraid he was right and it could also be the reason why we could send messages telepathically.

. The mindlink! I had to warn Avery before she comes. "Avery, don't come. It's a trap." I sent waiting patiently for her reply. "Too late. I'm already here." I felt dread to my spine. She dared not try to save me. Mr Victor seemed to notice my discomfort. "Judging by the way you are acting, I can say she's already here." Victor said, venom laced in his carefully crafted words. "Thank you Henry." He stood up and adjusted his clothing like he was going in for an interview. I watched him walk to the door, go out and securely locked it. Something bad was going to happen and I could feel it.
