HENRY'S POV

The cabin wasn't so silent anymore. Outside, I could hear discussions and petty fights. More Vampires must have arrived. Avery still lay unconscious, tied securely with ropes laced in vervian. The herb made my stomach recoil reminding me I was hungry. The mere thought of demanding for food from the vampires scared me. I had seen them countless of times talkingvonbjow plump I looked and how good my blood would taste . It was probably to scare me but better safe than sorry. Avery finally roused and tried to get up. I could see how pale she was. Her glowing skin was replaced by a drab porcelain white. It got me worried, then I looked at her eyes. They were blue and seemed to illuminate the room. She was in vampire form. "Are you o-kay?" I stammered, a little afraid. Avery's eyes flickered back to chestnut brown and she let out a weak smile. "Just drugged." Her mind betrayed her. She was starving. I sincerely did not know what came over me but I offered her my wrist trying to nudge her into feeding on me. "No!" She spat, violently pushing my hand away. "Sorry." I said, not understanding why she refused me willingly offering her my blood. "Sorry." She said after a long pause. "I don't do that anymore." She revealed me

. "Why?" "I almost killed someone." She replied. My throat felt dry. I never imagined Avery as a mindless bloodsucker. I had to shrug it off. Avery's eyes flickered blue again and I could tell the urge to feed was getting stronger. "Help!" I yelled, trying to call the attention of any of our captives. Victor came in, his face now covered in dark sunshades. "What?" He queried, a naughty smile placating his face. "She's starving." I muttered. The man lowered his sunshades to see the pale condition of Avery. His face furrowed in concern and he put back his shades to those souless eyes. "Let her starve. She'll be dead tonight anyway." His response shocked me. Appearances could indeed be deceiving. You dog! I sneered and tried to charge for him but the ropes restricted me from doing any damage. The man laughed in mockery and strided out. His words were, "Be Careful with her though. A hungry vampire doesn't know concern." The doors locked and he was gone. Avery groaned almost immediately and let out a muffled growl. I still could not read her thoughts. The drugs forced on her must be messing with the mindlink. It was a wise thing for Victor to do. He had cut her off from talking to Damian or anyone at all. "You have to feed on me Avery." I begged her, gettinhy worried she might hurt someone which was me once her hunger became uncontrollable. "I don't want to hurt you." Avery mumbled, barely audible. "You will of you don't feed on me soon." I retorted. Avery stopped talking and put her face on her in between her knees. I had to try one more thing. " Avery, Do you trust me?" Avery looked up to meet my gaze. Her blue eyes looking like the moon. "I do." She replied. "Then do this." I reached up my hand to her mouth. I could feel her moist breath on my hands. She looked at me to reassure if I was sure of what I just did. I gave her a reassuring smile. She held on to my hands and sank her fangs into my vein, drawing blood. I held my cool and tried to withstand the pain while she fed. I could see her skin lighten slowly. Hopefully it would rejuvenate her then we could think of how we might be able to escape.

DAMIAN'S POV

The faebloods had agreed to help but I knew it was only to aprehend Victor and save Henry. Avery was my problem. I met with the warbloods would would be assisting me. "Hello, I'm Agent Evergreen." One of the warblood said. He seemed to be the nicest of them. The rest just seemed to sneer at me. I looked over the man's shoulder to meet a farmiliar face. "Kalim." I greeted. The dark haired boy smiled in response. He must have learned of his heritage and accepted it quite quickly, a sharp contrast to Avery who was even born knowing who she was. "I'm also coming." I turned to see Matilda. She was now dressed in a leather jacket. The black jacket made her look hotter and I hardened. I could see that she stole gazes at me. "So I see you can't just get over me." I said. She stared blankly at me for a second then returned to stocking the inside of her jacket with weapons. When she was done, sh rose to meet my face. "I'm only here to find out what you did to me." She spat. "It's not me. Your ancestors did this. Are you really going to desecrate their holy name." Her brows furrowed, "The feast have nothing to do with this." I was seriously getting to her. I reached out cautiously to brush away a lock of bright pink hair that covered the right side of her face. "Then you know nothing of our curse." I whispered. I could feel her breath quicken. It felt good that o had such effect on her but she kept on pushing it ofy with every fiber of her being. "Let's go." A faeblood pronounced, breaking my conversation with Matilda. I followed them down deeper into the building unaware of where we were really going. We arrived in the subway. It was an empty part as it didn't even have rails. The faebloods disappeared into the enveloping darkness and returned with bikes. Matilda approached me in a steel blue bike. "Get in. We don't have all day." She handed a helmet to me. I didn't need it but I wouldn't waste the opportunity to graze bodies with her. When her skin touched mine, I felt myself go hard again. If I could not control myself at such proximity, I could tell the bike ride with her was a bad idea. It was sure going to be a hell of a ride.

AVERY'S POV

I've never had blood memories but my father had once told me about it. Apparently, Henry had a blood memory. With every ounce of his blood that flooded down me, I saw a image. I could see a copy and their young child running from something. The person hunting them caught up to them. The male tried to protect them, his eyes bright blue like a vampire. The scenery cleared and I could see a cabin, Exactly like the one we were in. The assaulter was Victor and the child was a miniature Henry. I stopped feeding. Red glows from the blood moon hit my face. I knew they would come for me soon. "Henry, Did you know your father?" I queried, unable to shake off the blood memory. Henry shaked his head in negation. I was just about to tell Jim what I saw when the door opened and Victor walked in accompanied by two muscular Vampires. "Someone looks nourished." Victor said, his plastic voice enraging me but the ropes kept me in check. "Take her." Victor commanded and the two vampires obeyed the with of their master, taking and dragging me with them. I could see Henry struggle to get to me but he was only human, Was he? I arrived in an open part of the woods. Still bound, I was placed on a wooden altar. Some vampires were around to witness my death.

. Although for them, it meant their salvation. She closed her eyes trying to block it all. "Avery, can you hear me?" Damian? It was undeniably him. Maybe there was hope after all. "Damian?" "Where are you?" I barely remembered where I was but there was something I could do. My only hope was my unreliable powers. I concentrated on the pain, the rage and everything that was wrong in my life. The screams and distortion I could feel around me assured me it was working then I let it all out. More screams and a ear splitting bang followed. I opened my eyes to see the damage I had inflicted and hopefully Damian had heard the explosion. (Lazy me)
