AVERY'S POV

"Can't we just request the help of the faebloods?" I asked Damian while sending a text to Henry. "You seem to forget we are now more than enemies." I rolled my eyes. "Not all of them!" I retorted, giving Damian a sheepish grin. "What do you mean?" Damian queried, slowing down the car as we approached an abandoned house. "Matilda." I was blunt, it wasn't like he did not know what I was talking about . He could read me like a book. "How did she even cross your mind?" "You've been thinking about her for six minute straight." I admitted. We got out of the car and grabbed our stuffs, nothing much. The area seemed desolate like no one was around but I knew better than that. I could see people peeking from other houses to see what their new neighbors looked like. We were far from that though, we would be out of their hair by three o'clock, the next day. "So about what we were saying earlier?" I said getting Damian's attention. He was busy inflating a couch. "Matilda and I... We are not really that close." "Really, I remember you two locking lips before." I teased and watched Damian choke on his words. Having inflated the couch, Damian sat on it

. "Avery," he began and I was beginning to feel a peptalk coming on." She's in the enemy zone right now and I don't think it's right to tell her about an object of immense power when it could as well threaten our existence. I made a face. "I'm a Shepherd for crying out loud. When will I get the opportunity to make a decision.?" When you grow up and make the right choices I guess." Damian said with the intent to provoke me. "Oh! And you make right choices Mr Adult." I said raising my hands in a mock surrender. "I will find it Damian. Legolas won't know what hit him." "How?" Damian queried, filling a plastic flute with blood. Seeing him satisfy his thirst made me hungry. I joined him in the couch and poured myself some of the rejuvenating fluid. "Kalim." "And how does he fit to all this?" Damian drained his cup and filled more into his cup. "Henry just sent me some news about Kalim." He attempted suicide and he didn't die... He healed." "What!" Damian was in shock. He should be. Faebloods might be part Fae but they lacked the ability to use their Vita to heal. They died like regulars if they had deadly mortal injuries. "You don't mean he's faeborn?" Taking a huge swing of my drink, I answered, "He might be." He might just be the one to end this curse that has plagued us or be of help to find the skull." True! Fae's were the last to be in possession of the skull. His mother might be the last clue to where it had been.

KALIM'S POV

I was fine. No bleeding, No pain. The only obvious thing that I could see were scars that seemed to be disappearing. I could hardly comprehend what was going on . It was all happening so fast. "What's wrong Kalim?" Henry asked with utmost concern. He hadn't visited in ages and I wondered why he cared all of a sudden. "Good!" I said coldly, withdrawn from the world. His mother was around though and she seemed to be talking to my father. "Well, I have something to tell you." I glanced at two strange faces. Both boys with jet black hair and with worn out jackets. Were they twins? Who the Fu*k invited then in? I was going to burst out in rage but I calmly asked, " Who are they?" Henry took a brief look at the boys or young men I referred to and answered, "My pack members." "Oh almighty alpha", I teased, regaining ny old self back. We both laughed it off then Henry turned serious like he was here for some business. "We need your help Kalim. Avery is looking for an artifact that could help us defeat Legolas." The mention of that name made my hands burn. A bright green hue forming a sphere on my palms. "Woah!" Henry exclaimed taken aback by what just happened. My father saw me do this and I could swear I saw pride in his eyes. The Sparks on my finger died. "What was that?" Henry asked. "Vita. The power to heal or burn." My father exaggerated on the burn part as if to warn me of something. Henry continued, "We are looking for an artifact called Orvinus." I shuddered remembering what Matilda read to be about the said artifact. "Guys! I don't think you want to look for that. Matilda read me something about Orvinus and it said something about freeing a great destruction." "Where did you read that from?" My father asked moving closer to me. "A book in the library. I think it is a prophesy of some sort." I replied, bothered by the tons of question that was being thrown at me. "We need to find it. If it mentioned the artifact, there might be more we don't know." Henry's mother said, observation on her face. "Okay, I'll take you..." " No!" My father cut in almost immediately, "you need to rest. Henry and I will go and check whatever book it is, you stay here. Henry's mother will keep you company." Before I could complain, my father opened the door and raced out with Henry and his two..guard dogs. Typical, I groaned.

LEGOLAS' POV

The silence was killing me. I expected them to attack me back twice the power like Savage animals but they seemed to have vanished. There was not even a paper threat. I wanted to know more and it was killing me. "Is anything wrong Legolas?" Victor asked, dressed in a red tuxedo even if he was going no where in particular. I stopped eating unable to concentrate on the meagre food I had to have to keep fit. Stereotypical but that was me. I ignored Victor's concern and he stopped talking. I kind of blamed him for the revolt. Word had gotten to the elders, one of the most influential faebloods. They were the kingmakers nad they had gotten to know the existence of the once thought extinct werewolves. Questions were growing every passing day and it won't be long before they saw the blurred lines and his lies. "Legolas, Is anything wrong?"Diana asked, walking in on us. Finding an empty chair, she made herself comfortable. "I don't know Diana. I really don't know what to do with the uprising." I poured out to her, getting a disapproving look from Victor. "You shouldn't be worried. You are still king after all." Diana comforted. Victor stopped eating looking at us with nothing but envy in his eyes. The deadly eye lasers he gave Diana was terrible. If he had his way, he would end her there. Sincerely, I did not have any sort of attraction for Diana but she held my secret and what better way to thank her for keeping our dark pact than humouring her. Moreover, she had been more than helpful most times. "I just wish I could bring them out all at once." I complained. Diana moved closer to me putting her soft pale hands on my shoulder and gently gliding it down in a seductive manner. This only made Victor cringe more. "Maybe there is a way." Diana revealed gaining my attention and love. "I'll be going now." Victor stated, making an atttempt to leave us be. "Don't go Victor." Diana pleaded," this requires all of us." "So what the plan Diana?" I inquired. "The blue moon." She replied. It slowly came to me. The claiming. However there was still a problem, the blue moon was not coming anytime soon following the lunar cycle. "But..." Diana seemed to have read my mind as she quickly cut in.

. "We'll make a quick visit to the weather maker..." "Do you suggest we disrupt the natural order?" Victor objected, out of spite rather than concern. "No! I'm saying we make history." She interjected. "The weathermaker sees all as beneath him moreover he is the only true immortal." Victor said, with just as much venom. Their bickering was becoming of slight worry but I could only watch. "Ae you with us Victor?" I asked knowing he could never reject me. "Of course Legolas but we have no Ransom." Victor replied "Maybe we do." Diana revealed. I needed a wise woman like this in my life. Someone that would always give me a plan B. "Then let go." I decided With hopes that I would succeed. This was not for me alone. This was for our kind.
