Tash keep it down okay.  I'm just excited to see you happy. He excorcises all those demons you've got locked up inside doesn't he?  Why'd you say so? Your eyes, they aren't sad anymore and there are no more nightmares. I don't know, I guess he's like a drug.  He makes me feel better, lighter but I'm scared I'll start to need him too much, become addicted . One day at a time sis, live a little and if you do get addicted we'll battle it out the way we always do, together. Sometimes Tash,  you're my favorite sister. Girl I'm your only sister. Now let's get you dressed for this hot date.

Then don't make me lose it. Tess smiled to herself as she watched him go on stage and wondered how it was possible for anyone to feel so happy.
Good evening everyone, my name is Philip and I'm here with my amazing girlfriend,  Tess. The beautiful lady in the blue dress at the back over there and I just want to dedicate a few songs to her but please spare me if I'm too terrible. I'm just a poor fool in love. Tess couldn't stop smiling  as she listened to him belt out tunes. He was an amazing singer. He started with Bruno Mars again, then went on to Mariah Careys we belong together and finally on to Ed Sheerans thinking out loud and all through it she was transfixed. Suddenly, it hit her. She was really in love.
So,  did you like it.  No.  No?  I loved every minute of it. Want to try? This is the first time I'm actually going to sing,  usually I just watch but I've had a song stuck in my head all day. Okay, so,  go. She got to the stage, took out the song book and selected the song she'd been singing to herself all morning. Philip leaned back on the couch with a beer in one hand and then he heard the first strains of music. She was singing to him. If this isn't love. She was actually confessing to the fact that she loved him. Just at that moment, from the corner of his eye he saw his roommate, James walk in with Tina and he knew that one stupid mistake could destroy what could be an amazing day.
Woah,  guy your chick can sing and if that song is for you as I think it is, then Danny and I owe you 5k each. What do you mean? Don't tell me you bet on Tess, Phillip?  It's nothing, Christina. What I just heard isn't nothing James. Well, you're keeping your mouth shut. Hey you're not the boss of me.  At least for now,  that little mouth of yours is going to stay closed.  Why?  Because Tess is heading this way.  Tina, Jame, hi, how are you? Tess, we're  good. That song was amazing by the way. This dude is one lucky man to have you. I'm lucky to have him too. I hate to say it but you too look so sweet together.  I hope nothing ruins this beautiful romance. Thanks Tina, Tess said dryly. We don't want to interrupt your date so I'll just drag Tina over to the mall. See y'all at school. Right, later.  Tina likes you. Yeah, I noticed a long time ago.  Pity, I only have eyes for you. You'd better keep it that way or I'll drop a table on you.  Seriously? I mean it.  Ouch,  that would hurt. Did you like my song. I thought it was beautiful but there's something you should probably say that I've been waiting for quite a while to hear. I love you. Ah... finally. I love you too.  Philip pulled her into his arms and wished hard they could stay like this forever but the thought that one stupid mistake and the possibility of Tina figuring it out hung over him at that moment like a dark cloud. He prayed Tess wouldn't find out because it would hurt like hell if she kicked him to the curb over one stupid impulse. Come on babe,  let's get back to school. Okay. Okay.
