Incomplete - Episode 25

 

*Bea*

“Welcome…… welcome; I know you would come”

I raised my head slowly in pains to see who Nora was talking to. Frank, Chris and his father walked in with Frank leading the way.

“Bea, Tristy” Chris called out on seeing us and run to where we are chained

“Not an inch closer” Nora shouted and Chris stopped in his track. 

She turned and faced Max “Oh Max, long time” she said with a grin

“Come, come sit let’s do a family meeting” she said and laughed out loud. Her laugh gave me goose bumps “all my stay with Nora, I have never seen this side of her; I know she is mischievous at her age and can do many things but doing this to her own daughter is out of range”

“Nora please, let’s settle this without involving the kids” Max said pleading

“Oh, you are still concerned about your precious daughter right; don’t worry I have not killed her yet” Nora said and sit down in her chair “even though I will do that soon” she adds sticking her cigarette back in her mouth

“Kids” I shout

“Daughter too” Chris adds

Silence

“Come on spill” Nora said with a wicked grin

Silence

Okay, I will help you do that” she said and put the cigarette in the ash tray 

She stood up and smiled “Britni meet your father, Christian meet your big sister and my humble self your mother”

“Come son, I have missed you; give me a hug” she said walking closer to Chris and gesture for him to give her a hug

Chris gave her a strong push as she walked closer to him and turned to his father with a sad face “Pa, is she saying the truth; please just tell me she is lying”

“Son, I am sorry; I never planned for you to know this way” He said and hung his head in shame “just calm down and I will explain things to you later” he pleads

“Damm it” Chris exclaimed and punch the wall without flinching

I feel his pain but I am speechless, I cannot believe the episode unfolding before me

“Chris is my long lost little brother and Mr . Max; my dad”

“I cannot believe they have been all around me yet far from me”

Tristy comes close to me and engulf me in a hug to console me but I can’t endure it anymore; I can feel it exploding inside me

“Arrggghhhhh” I scream at the top of my voice to let out the pain swelling inside me

My shout startled them

“There is no need of the shout dear; just hand over the drive and everything is done with” Nora says with I am on top face

‘Never” Tristy screamed to her face “I will never do that” 

“I don’t deal with strangers; it’s a pity you got caught in between” Nora said ignoring her

. She stretched her hands towards me

“I know you have it or you convince her to hand it over”

“Go to hell you; that is where your likes belong” I said and spit at her outstretched hands   

She gave me a resounding slap, in a flash Max rushed to her and held her 

“what has gotten over you, why this strange attitude; we were once a happy family” Max said in between struggling to hold her  in place

She turned with furry in her eyes “you caused everything, you are wrong with me”

Everywhere became silent that you can hear a drop of pin; what she said shocked everybody

“How” Max asked when he found his voice and released himself from struggling with her

“you gave all you affection to her, neglecting me your wife……..”

“but that was because her presence irritates you since your giving birth; sometimes I wonder why you took her with you when you ran away but now I can understand” Max shipped in  

“she is a mere orphan that we just picked up that is not worthy of my care……”Max never allowed her to finish before giving her a slap that almost blind her eyes “Shut up” he orders with furry and anger

“What” I shouted 

“Yes, you are just an orphan that took my husband love from me” she said neglecting the blood running out of her nose

“yet she brought nothing other than grace in our life; you became pregnant with Chris after we have her” max adds to ease the tension that have filled up the room 

‘Yes and I hate myself for that” she spit out

Chris turned and walked out, I bet he couldn’t endure it anymore neither do I; Max chase after him immediately calling out on him

“I hate you” she shouts to my face

This is the height of it; I stood up and push her so hard and she fell like a sack

‘good riddance to bad rubbish” pain flow inside me as I remembered all I have been through thinking she was my mother and cared for me 

“you have been deceiving me all this while” I cried out

“yes, he loved you so much making equal future plans of you and my son and I vow to never allow that to happen” she says laughing wickedly from the floor

“I made you pass through pain” she smile

“just pray you company survives it, all your shareholders are in my palm and they are backing out leaving me to take over”

I move fast to shut her mouth forever but the chain pulled me back and I fall with a thud. Tristy rushed to my side, wailing calling on Max and Chris. The guard is nowhere to be found only Frank who is outside to cut any intrusion by Nora men if they ever come

I hear faint sound of siren coming nearer and shout as they rush me to the hospital. Large streams of police men file in to arrest Nora with Frank leading them; he removed his outer hoodie to reveal his police uniform. He is actually a police man under cover  

I closed my eyes finally happy that my worst night mare Nora is going to pay for her deeds
