In Search For My Twin - Episode 8
I felt like I needed someone to talk to who will understand me. I wanted to know more about my mom but I didn't know any one to ask. My dad always claimed he loved mom so much and that he felt uncomfortable talking about her. I was lost in my thoughts, I didn't know what to do next or else I may be locked up in a hospital room.
I cried myself to sleep and I got the dream again. Her smile was reassuring and this time she talked to me in my dream . I love you so much sister she said. What's your name and are we twins? I asked but then I couldn't find her anymore.
Then I saw my self in a big banana plantation sitting down with a woman. She had a beautiful brown skin, long fingers and nails and her eyes seemed to be wet with tears. Who are you and why are you crying? I asked . Am sorry my child a faint voice answered and then I had my dad's voice calling me.
I was happy dad was back but I was sad I didn't finish my dream. Was she my mom? If yes why is she sorry to me? Why is she crying? Did she come because I was lonely? As I was still deep in thoughts my dad knocked on my door. Am dressing up I said getting up from bed.
I went out to meet my dad. Welcome back dad I said sitting next to him

. How are you feeling he said turning his full attention to me. Not bad I faked a smiltand then continued I think I was imagining things . And I think once I stop my imaginations I won't get these dreams again. Perhaps I wanted to ask you something dad and its about mom. I said calmly.

In two days time its my twenty first birthday and I just wanted to make mom not feel abandoned by us . You know we rearly talk about her don't you think she feels bad being left out. I said as calm as possible. Ok ask what you want to know he replied. Do you have any of mom's pictures I want to see how she looked like. At that moment dad felt so uncomfortable and seemed to have lost his tongue. I was patient and at last he said," I loved your mom so much and after her death I couldn't control myself looking at her pictures so I decided to burn all of them. But she looked exactly like you". Am tired I will go get some rest he said leaving the sitting room. I don't understand why my dad behaves like this whenever I ask about mom. Is it because she loved her so much that it hurts him or is the rumour true that she sacrificed his wife in the name of gaining wealth.
