Forever, Mitchell - Episode 30

Xavier.

She's atop me and it's a sight, she's saying something about something, I've blocked out what she's actually saying and I'm just watching her.

She's on my shirt and it's dwarfs her, she's so tiny it looks like a robe on her.

I raise my head to kiss her cladded stomach and she pauses.

"Are you even listening to me?"

"No" I say, because I'm not.

"You've got a one track mind, really"

"I only do when you are ontop my body Bambi"

"Don't call me Bambi"

"Why? You are tiny and you have brown hair"

"That qualifies me as a Bambi?"

"Yes, and you look too curious for your own good"

I say and she nods.

"I took after my dad, he's a scientist, he's too curious for his own good" She says and it's the first time she's mentioning her parents.

She looks wistful and restless so I try to take her mind off it by engaging in my new favourite past time.

I raise my head and nip on her shoulder. 

"You can't be serious" She breathes and I chuckle into her neck. 

"I own everything in this house Bambi, including you, I get to do whatever I like" 

"But... But you can't be serious! We were awake all night Xavier" She says as if it's news. 

I was infact awake too. 

I go back to my ministrations but stop when a knock sounds on the door. 

It sounded urgent, it's can't be K, she knows, I told her never to step up here while I'm alone with my wife. 

As soon as possible we are going back to my house in the other part of the estate 

She rolls off of me, padding her way across the room, I watch her butt, you can't blame me, I'm a man and she's my wife. 

I stand when she stiffens at what ever the person says before following said person.

Mitchell 

This can't be good. 

I knew it. 

I knew it was only a matter of time before things blew out of proportion, what is K thinking.? 

Does she really think I'm going to sit back and watch her bully my people? 

When I married the master of the house I got Lucy, Pearl and Katie as mine. 

They are only here because I've decided I want to stay in the main house, no one gets to boss them around, if for anything I get to boss the people here around. 

I follow Pearl as she leads me to the showdown happening outside. 

I will admit that I've been slacking in assigning duties, I've left everything up to K, since she's been here longer she must know what to do. 

But if what I suspect is true there will be hell to pay. 

I don't take note of my surroundings or my choice of clothes, I just roll into the yard, the wife of Xavier Knox. 

K is standing besides Lucy who looks harrased but indignant. 

This does not look good. 

"What is going on?" I hear my self asking. 

"Mitchell.." K starts but a voice silences her from behind me. 

"That's mistress Mitchell, Kathrine" Xavier says and K's mouth tightens, she doesn't like that 

I feel Xavier standing behind me and the thought that he might not like what I'm about to do crosses my mind. 

I turn to him. 

"I can handle this, you should go get ready for work" I say and he looks at me stupid. 

"Go on Mitchell" He says and I don't hesitate, I turn. 

"I gave Lucy the instructions to stay here and be idle while she is at it, she's my house keeper and body guard, I never brought her here to assist you Kathrine, nor did I bring her here to get railed on" 

"But she's under me, I pay her" 

"No K, you don't pay her, you only pass her payroll to her, that's gonna stop today anyway" 

Katherine looks at me like I'm mad, well, I'm mad, at her. 

She turns to Xavier. 

"Xavier, do something"

. This just turned to a personal grudge. 

"I'm right here K, you do not breath near my husband without my say so, you undermined my authority by asking my husband to 'do something' I'm going to sound this warning, the next time you look past me and to Xavier, I'm going to fleece you, Mark my words, I've tried to give you the respect that you deserve but it's not working anymore, stay away from me. "I say and she nods, her face shutting down. 

Oh well. 

" Lucy, get ready, we are going back to the other house "I say and she delivers a quick nod. 

It's then that I realize that Lucy could have handled this on her own, she could have bailed herself but she wanted me to see K for who she really is. 

She needn't have bothered, I'm very much aware. 

I turn around to see Pearl holding up Katie from where K had made her stand, forcing her to the heavy lifting meant for the male workers, I feel my fist clench again and this time Xavier holds me by my neck, stopping me from turning. 

"You've said all that you should, moving on" He says and my eye focus on him 

"You are shirtless" I breath and humour fills his face. 

"I'm aware" 

"You can't be shirtless, you shirtless is lethal, I don't want anyone else looking at you" I say. 

"You should have considered that when you bounced from our room in my shirt" He says and my eyes go to my body. 

Oh. 

He shakes his head before bending to kiss me, really deep. 

I realize he did this for everyone's benefit, telling them that he's taken and their pipe dreams of having him was never going to come true. 

I smile against his lip and I kiss him back, his hand goes to my ass and it stays there.
