It was her first time, in Adams’s office. It wasn’t all bad. There were about four seats at the front of his desk. Two tall cabinets containing unopened drinks and other files and boxes.
“So, how long have you been a dancer?” He finally asked.
“She chuckled, “I am not a dancer, I just love dancing.”
“Well you can call yourself a dancer now.”
She smiled. “Thanks Adams . I guess I haven’t actually thanked you for saving me last night.”
Adams smiled, “it was my pleasure and your luck I guess.”
She laughed.
“Who was that guy?”
“Just someone I met randomly, no one serious, trust me.”
“Okay then. So, is there anything else I need to know about you?”
She thought for a while, “well nothing really, nothing to be scared of.”
“Well, thank God then.” He stood up, “would you like me to drop you off.”
“What road are you passing?”
“Washington Bloom road.

“This is me.” She said.
“This is your place?” Adams asked.
“Yea.” She replied and he pulled over.

She chuckled as she got down and then she waved but he wasn’t going. She stopped and bent slightly and shouted so he could hear her.
“Why are you not going?”
“It’s not gentlemanly enough if I only bring you home and I don’t wait till you enter your apartment before I leave.”
She smiled, “Okay.” Then she walked to her apartment which was on the ground floor. As she got closer, she found some of her things outside, her bags, her shoes...everything on the floor.
She couldn’t understand, she went to the door and realized that it was locked with another key, she had been evicted.
Adams watched what was happening but it was too dark to see, even though he knew that she was still outside and that something was wrong. He got down from the car and walked down to meet her.
“Are you okay? What is wrong?” He asked as he moved closer and then realized that her things were out.
“I thought I would be given more time, I didn’t know she was going to send me out like this.”
“Wow! I’m so sorry. What are you going to do?”
She wiped her tear-stained cheeks, “I don’t know. I will have to go back to Nigeria, there is no place for me to stay here.”
“Nigeria?”
“Yes, my father’s house is still there.”
“So you mean, you don’t have any friend you can crash with till tomorrow or for the main time till you are back on your feet?”
She shook her head.
“Are these everything?”
“Yes.
“Okay.” He said and she watched as he parked her things.
“What are you doing Adams?”
“You are coming with me.”

“So, you are welcome to my apartment.” Adams said as he dropped her bag on the floor. “Make yourself comfortable on the couch, there are clean towels in the bathroom which is in my room and which you don’t need to worry about, since you can come in at anytime to use it. Come with me.”
Angy followed her into his room, his room was quite unkept as cloths were scattered here and there but he showed her the bathroom and toilet which were clean. The only problem was that, if she would need to bathe and use the toilet, she would need to come into his room first, ouch! That would really be somehow.
“Thank you so much Adams, I am so sorry for any inconveniency and...”
“Sh! You need to sleep okay? Tomorrow we can talk.”
She smiled.
He threw her a blanket and saw her off back to the living room.
“Goodnight Angy.” He said and went back to his room while she got settled on the couch. To her surprise, it was more comfortable than she had expected and she slept off before she could think of anything.”
