Chioma - Episode 30

 

Chioma woke up, but couldn't open her eyes, she felt sore, and pains  all over the eye, and about the place she was, she felt strange,she tried t opening her eyes but couldn't, her lids seem heavy for her.The room smelt of antiseptic like a hospital, she wanted to get out of there, she hated  hospitals, before she could decide on  what to do the door opened and a familiar voice said "She's well sedated....call in a nurse and lets start transplanting.

A nurse? What for? another voice asked, it was nearer, which meant they were in the room 

We ought to have a first feed, after the transplant...

"first feed? What were they transplanting, do I have kidney failure or something? the questions on her mind prompted Chioma to  opened her eyes,she winced at the blur figures then with seconds it became normal ,First she look at the doctors, what was Dr Richard doing in Nigeria? The other one was a stranger and they were engrossed in a conversation her eyes went to the fish......no, a weird creature, a python like thing, not as long as that but dreadful, it had three fangs like whiskers and no eye, only pictures of lips decorated the sea green body of the creature, just then the beast growled, its lying ears stood and all the pictures of lips opened showing of a pair of canine, Chioma squeezed her eyes shot, what was Richard doing with a disgusting beast and what was he thinking of transplanting that  thing?to where? Inside you! her subconscious screamed at her, the canines were definitely up to hundred as those lips were plenty on that body.she opened her eyes again, she needed answers.

Dr Richard, is that you? Chioma feign surprise and watch how the doctors gapped at her, apparently they never thought she would wake up, now, they thought she was sedated enough

Its me, my love, you were involved in an accident....

As he spoke, chioma got rid of the drips, her gaze flew passed the container which held the creature and went back to Dr Richard..... "Fortunately I came to visit my friend, Dr Gerald at the right time!

Super! Chioma said with a tight smile, she couldnt remember a single thing about any accident, all she had in mind was being engulfed in Davids arms, and she wanted to keep on being so if they were planning on doing a transplant on her with that creature they had to think harder, she moved towards the door but Dr Gerald grasped her hand

You are still restricted, you need to rest! Chioma pulled but wasn't released..." I have to meet my husband, I am fine to do so, he would be worried....                        Both doctors stared at each other before Dr Richard said "OK , Nurse Helen go get Mr Jack, his wife needs him! The nurse nodded hastily, gappens she also saw the creature and was scared. 

Sit down my love! Richard said urging her to sit but instead she shouted" I'm not your love.....the beast snarled at her and she moved backwards

What's that? She asked in a more lower tone, a smirked appeared on Richards face and she tried to read a meaning out of it

Chioma nodded remembering that day she had seen the doctor that God had used, they had chatted for long, in fact she started crushing just that David  had loads of impact on her, her mind returned to the present, Richard was saying..…"and the most wonderful is that you are about to be the host....

What! Before another word, a syringe plunged into her neck, Gerald had sedated her again

If she keeps talking, our plans would be trampled on.... He replied Richards  accusative stare.

David watch as the nurse hurried pass him,with her bag, she kept looking backwards like she' was being chased and didn't even notice he was a stranger, walking with a doctors coat, his stethoscope, his nose mask and a patient',s file.And if Gerald had left all these behind, it wasn't a normal treatment, they were dangerous. 

He finally saw the ward and walked over to it, like a prayer the generator ceased

Fuck it! a voice cussed from inside the room, he took the opportunity and slipped inside the dark, the only thing that shone in the dark was the creature in a container, it snarled but David didn't move, unlike the human doctors they didn't feel or see a stranger in their midst, the beast snarled again but David stood firm, after three times of repeating the action the beast went back to his calm, and the Generator zoomed to life.

Weldone, Doctors! David greeted them, his wife was being tied to an operating table like a drug addict and that alone annoyed him
