Chioma - Episode 24
Chioma knew something was wrong, from the way Mrs Julian had marched in like a soldier and had decided to talk to David only, it wasn't even her character to ignore Chioma or not to ask her how she was faring. So Chioma did a little eavesdropping and heard the horrible stupid secret "Their marriage was a FAKE!"
Pregnant Chioma! her mind mocked and tears threatened to flow endlessly, the worst David's silence, he wasn't angry or did he disagreed, he was so quiet that anybody would just imagine he was nodding at His mothers words.
She looked around the house, missing it already, her kitchen ......and she wept, there was a lot of memories in there, the good and bad, the serious and hilarious moment, the s*x in kitchen......she couldn't believe she wanted to leave all of this behind, what about her parents, why didn't they tell her about this....she thought, sitting cross legged on the kitchen floor.
Chioma, you left so suddenly! The voice made her turn, he hurried to her side "Why are you crying?" he asked and tried to wipe her tears but Chioma slapped his hand away and stood up
What's wrong?
David stop trying to make me happy, you were engaged to Ella and I'm now smart enough to be on my own..... Chioma quoted Mrs Julian.
Chioma, its not that, you are my wife and ...
I'm not your anything! Chioma shouted taking the car keys .
Don't try driving, you are still learning how to drive and besides you aren't going anywhere with my child, I wo....
Says who? the person whose parents steps all over him? or the person who can't stand up for who he is?
And with those questions, Chioma left, she was pass hearing him, it was when she drove out did the tears come again,
Why now? she ask herself, she was homeless now, mercy had moved in with Alfred, they were engaged, and those two would gladly send her back to David, her parents lied to her, she left the steering for the world to take her home
