"Are you saying your wife has been missing for two weeks now???" Mark confirmed shocked on how calm Alfred was while his wife was missing.
"Yes, but I know the Kebatas have her. I can bet on that with my life." Alfred sneered gritting his teeth.
"I heard Timmy's daughter was murdered, did you have anything to do with it Alfred???" Mark asked arching his eyebrows in curiosity.
Alfred hesitated before saying something and both Joseph and Mark shared weird glances.
"I am not foolish enough to throw myself in the lions' den. I didn't kill her . I can't harm an innocent girl. All I can say it seems Andrew betrayed us." Alfred stated with assurance.
"What does he gain by doing that???" Joseph asked tapping his chin pretending to think hard, the other free hand on his waist.
"He is a smart guy. We should be careful with him or else we are prone to get hurt." Mark retorted and they both agreed with him.
This game was like a puzzle. It had a winner, losers and casualties. Many wanted to be the winners but that spot was only for one and it seemed Gerald had grabbed it.
"I have heard Gerald drug business is doing well. That man can go to any level for money." Mark hissed, feeling like the panic had begun like a cluster of spark plugs in his abdomen.
"But soon, I am gonna end him even if that's the last thing I am gonna do." Alfred snarled more than he spoke, palm fisting himself.
"Be prepared for a new era where Alfred will be boss." He stated his eyes turning cold while he dangerously glared at Mark and Joseph making them shiver.
"Alfred, what are you talking about???" Mark asked giving him a suspicious look.
"You wanna be a shadow you will always be a shadow." Alfred replied suggesting something else in a rude way but Mark didn't notice it.
"It gonna happen soon, just keep your eyes open. I will act when everyone thinks the battle is over." Alfred blissfully said, his eyes widened with boldness.
"I don't care whose side you are on Mark and Joseph but remember this is a battle field...People die.

"Don't swallow flies, old friends. Why tremble only at the announcement of the first round of battle??? How little is your courage." He mocked them closing their mouths. He then hooked his thumbs into his blue jeans pockets and begun walking towards the door whistling.
On reaching the door, He paused and looked back," Tell this to Gerald. That she was the mother of my children not the love of my life. He can kill her, in this battle there have to be casualties." He hissed, laughing evilly.
"Take care and don't get killed." He teased them and winked. He went on his way continuing with his whistling.
"Mark, what's happening???? Is this the end times???" Joseph asked, his eyes popping out of his head.
"I smell a war, one like never before." Mark drawled out, his fingers jumping rhythmically.
"I need to warn Gerald about this," Mark retorted, reaching out for his phone but Joseph stopped him," Don't do it, this is a very tricky game Gerald and Alfred are playing. You don't wanna get killed."
"I agree, let's sit back and....." They were cut off by a guy in ripped jeans and a black leather jacket matched with combat boots who walked in on them.
People mistook him for a model but he was a private assassin. Point to note, he always did a clean job.
Neither did he have time to chitchat nor give them time to say their last prayers.
He left them there lying in their own pool of blood, bullets dodged in their heart and foreheads. Rest in peace or is it pieces???? Mark and Joseph.
