Narrow escape
The family had filled up, Dee's ward. Happiness had soaked right into their bones.
Gerald's mouth twitched trying to fight a smile but deep down he was happy. Although his plan backfired at least he had his little girl back.
Esther was happy not genuinely happy as per say but she had this ridiculous thought that maybe now people will stop giving Dee so much attention.
"I drugged dad's men and sneaked out. When I arrived at the gym I saw the bushes shaking then I saw the gun pointed at my Nick.
I called out his name, Nick!!!Nick!!!Nick!!! and ran towards him
. I pushed him down, the bullet just scratched my arm and landed at the poor cleaner's heart who was on the other side of the bonnet." Dee narrated saddened by the last statement. They were all keen not that the story was interesting but they had missed the sweet voice of the narrator.
Timmy had knelt beside her, wearing the smile of the century. He didn't want to burden his soul with guilt of what if, he wanted to be lost in the moment.
"Say my name???" Timmy teased her.
"Timmy." Dee said it in a sexy manner making Timmy go crazy every time time she said his name.
Ben was in the hospital's prayer room giving thanks to God whereas
Margaret just let the tears of happiness flow, her girl was back.
"Welcome back my girl, I had missed you." Margaret sobbed.
"Come on mum, it's not like I was dead and rose from the dead. I was just dumb.

. Damn I had literally missed to talk, I wasn't sure it felt like this to talk. I could blab all day." She joked and the whole room was filled with laughter.
"And the old Dee is back." commented Timmy and everyone agreed.
"I love you," her dad said to her forgetting the anger or the tension he had earlier. He wanted to hug her and tell her how much she means to him. He then placed a kiss on her forehead.
"Are you dying dad, because I got no more tears to shed." Dee teased and people writhed with laugher, Timmy slapping her injured arm and she lets out a sharp cry making everyone get on Timmy's neck.
"Guys, it was a joke. Let the poor man be." Dee retorted, "I miss the family squishy hugs, it has been ages."
"Let's give Emperor what she wants." Timmy chuckled.
And thou Gerald and Esther didn't want to, they were forced anyway.
"How can you do the squishy hug without me???" Ben scoffed entering the room and forced them onto another squishy hug.
It had been long since the family had come together, just happy. Not fighting, arguing or walking out on each other. Margaret's dream family. Margaret didn't know for how long that happiness was to last but while it lasted they had to take advantage of it.
We can say Nick's planned shooting was a blessing in its own way. It brought the light of the family back.
But then Nick walked in and the room went silent. There was an awkward tensed atmosphere.
Gerald wanted to strangle him right then and there but that was a celebratory day for his family. Travis in a way felt it was right to let the lovebirds be, maybe they would be the solution to this insane unrealistic battle between their families.
"Let's give them some privacy," Margaret said pushing everyone outside leaving the lovebirds alone.
