Demi cranked his tired neck, "So are you telling me that they all refused to work because of that flimsy excuse? You think all I've been incorporating all this while is a joke?

"No sir, they're pleading that you understand their predicaments, and i also believe in adding to their salaries this will enable them work extraordinarily..

"I've had enough of this nonsense!! Do well to know your place Mr Ade, i haven't in anyway asked for your opinion on the matter I'm only been lenient because i understand that most of this workers are family men. I receive my orders from the headquarters and they aren't going to add a dime to the workers salaries, they should make do with what they're being paid.

. This is business Mr Ade, not an NGO . Anyone of them that's not satisfied might as well quit."

"But sir..

"Mr Ade, let me ask you a question, the last project you and your workers underwent for the company, how many materials were misused by your said workers?" Demi asked, resting his chin on his palm

. "

Demi stared the man down " Mr Ade...if i didn't know better, I'd say you're an enemy to the progress of this company."

"Ah, i am sorry sir, truly sorry sir. "

"The next time you think of bringing such gibberish to my table, do well to remember your numerous wives and kids. I won't be as lenient as I've been." Demi concluded

Poor Mr Ade left the office in a flash, like he was being pursued by a host of legions

Demi rubbed his forehead feeling beat.

"Are you alright sir." Pami asked keeping a safe distance

"what does it look like? This workers are really giving me headache, this is the fourth time they tabled that proposal, and to think my Father asked me to pay them off and employ new workers, if I had listened this wouldn't be happening. I guess I've been too lenient." Demi sighed relaxing back his chair

Pami, stepped closer sitting at the edge of his table, "nah, i think you're doing fine, you aren't your father and you couldn't be like him even if you tried, you are more approachable.

Demi shook his head "To think my Father has been paying your salary and you still think that of him, that's a first."

"I've got no issues with the money na, it's your father i complained about."

Demi smiled, "Go joo, ijebu girl like you."

Her phone buzzed

"Hian...lest I forget sef, the new PA would be coming tomorrow morning, i want you to assess her first before i start teaching her the ropes."

"What do you think of her though?" Demi wanted to know

"Don't worry, she'll do great, that's if you are both in sync, because you Egbon is hard to please."

"Is it my fault?with the issues I've had with so called 'lady job seekers', joo Pamilerin don't bring me stalkers o, I've had enough to last me a lifetime."

"Haba, Egbon you don't trust me again, i wouldn't bring her if it isn't worth it, don't worry, trust me."

"Haa,okay o. I hear you! "They both laughed, Demi excused himself going throught the connecting door to the gents.

The shrill of the telephone could be heard on the other side of the room, Pami pushed a button,

"AANU HOLDINGS, to whom am i speaking with." she asked, putting in her best PA duty Voice.

"Excuse me, who the hell are you? I'm Adesua his girlfriend, and last time i checked this was Demi's office number." The caller inquired rudely

"You are xcused, ma'am. And the last time i checked you were his Ex, do well to know your place ma'am." Pami pressed the end button, hissing. "How did Egbon meet the spoilt brat sef."

Demi stepped back into the room wiping his hands, "I thought i heard the intercom buzz, who was calling?" He asked, picking up his car key and phones

"No one of importance jare Egbon, are you going now.. Ope oo, free ride, let me pack my things will meet you downstairs."

Demi shook his head

"ijebu funrara e, to think you can get a car with your two months salary, but still struggle to catch bus or free rides is still beyond me."

"Egbon I'm relocating remember, who car epp? Besides you aren't complaining na, lemme enjoy your wealth." she concluded, dashing into her office

Demi picked his jacket on the way out of the office, he peered into the second office, "Five minutes and I'm off!!"he said
