An Arranged Marriage - Episode 55

 

Anadia.

I hand him the box, his present on my birthday and he watches it like a snake.

Pain is running through my body in waves but I allow none of it to show.

"This, this is the reason why you married me, I want you to have it, put your mother and brother at rest" I say and he begins to shake his head.

"I'm sorry, for everything, what my family caused yours and the pain we brought to yours, I'm sorry your brother died, I'm sorry your mother died, I'm sorry you went through all of those pain..."

"Please.. Stop talking like that" He whispers.

"No. . It's fine.. It fine that I talk like this, you know why? This is the way you thought I deserve to talk, you know why I think that? Because you lied to my face, you lied everyday we were together, you didn't give me the benefit of the doubt" I say, tears in my voice.

"... I loved you Kane.. I was ready to spend my life with you, I was ready to walk through hell with you, you shouldn't have lied, you used me... You decieved me.. And I was a fool, looking back now I see everything, I see how foolish I was not to see that everything with you was too good to be true"He falls to his knees and I look away because that sight almost brings me to my knees too, but I have to be strong.

I have to finish this.

" You can't leave me. "He says finally," I will die.. I will unravel.. You are everything I own, you own me, body and soul "He says and I shake my head.

"How do I believe that? "I ask and his body recoils like I've hit him, it breaks my heart.

I grab the box, bending down to his level and dropping it by his knee.

"I'm sorry we didn't work Kane, I wish you happiness" I say, moving away, he grabs my leg and I stop, tears choking me.

"Please... Please don't make this any harder, please... " I sob.."It's the least you can do, letting me go" I say and he stands, wrapping me in his arms,

"Please don't leave me, please" He says and I pull away, leaving my bags, everything as I walk out of the room, down, down down the stairs.

I hear his roar as I enter the waiting cab but I don't turn, I just sob into my hand.

Two months later

Kane

" Anything?" I ask Cash and he shakes his head.

" Keep searching" I say and nods but holds me back by my arm.

"If she really wants to come back, she will" He says but I don't give his words any thought.

I have to find my wife, there is no other option, I made a mistake, I have to get a chance to rectify it.

"Kane.. She doesn't want to be found" He says again and I turn on him.

"I will find her Kane.. I have to.. I. Must" I say before exiting the room.

It's been 63 days since Anadia left me and all of those days have been hell on itself.

I turn the corner and I see anaya talking with Linda.

She looks worried but I don't say a word to her, the guilt in my soul is too much to bear.

I have to find her sister, that's the only way I will atone for what I have done.

A year later.

Anaya. 

It's Christmas but it feels nothing like it.

I watch Kane King pace by the door like a mad man.

He looks worn, angry and lost.

"Do you think she will ever come back?" Linda asks but I don't respond.

I know anadia will be back, she won't leave the twins forever.

What I am not sure of is if she will come back to this man.

When the story wasn't adding up I searched for answers and I found some ugly ones.

The only reason I haven't packed myself and my siblings out of this place is because I want my sister to be able to find me when she wants to and because I have forgiven them, the fight isn't mine, this people as dysfunctional as it seems are my family. 

My eyes find Cash as he steps into the room with mails and his eyes warms, He knows that I'm aware of the things my family did to his.

He steps forward, pulling me up into his arms.

"Hey"i say, he kisses my head.

" I've got good news "He says and Kane King turns.

" These are letters from Anadia "He says and Kane stills.

" They were in the mailbox "He says before handing out the letters addressed to each of us.

Aroofa

I rip open the letter, wanting to know how my sister is doing, I almost cry when I read the words.

*Dear Aroofa, I'm sorry I left you, I just want you to know I'm okay and I will be with you soon, concentrate on your acting and modeling, I love seeing your face on TV, Merry Christmas baby, you are strong *

Aroos.

My anger recedes minimally as I grab the letter from Cash.

How my sister could be so selfish as to leave us for a year is beyond me.

I rip open the letter and tears fill my eyes.

*Aroos, darling, don't be mad at me too much, your face is going to wrinkle, I'm sorry I left you but I know you are protected, keep smiling baby girl, I miss you so much *

Linda.

I don't know what to expect as I open thr letter but I cry as I read.

*Linda, you were the best friend I never had, I forgive you and I hope you can forgive me one day, soon. Take care girl, much love.

P. S. I so loved that gown you wore to the red carpet last week, merry Christmas.

Cash.

*Brother in law, I know you've been searching for me, thank you for keeping my sisters safe, how are you doing? I hope you know Anaya will rip your balls out of you hurt her, take care of my sisters, I love you *

*Fierce, Loyal and protective, I'm glad you are my sister, I need a little time for myself, I'm sure you know why, I will be back, before then don't get pregnant, don't kill Cash and do things you love, being lonely is no way to live your life. Merry Christmas Anaya, I love you with all my heart *

*Dear Kane, I miss you, I'm working on things on my end and I want you to live your life, maybe one day we will be together again but before then I want you to know I love you, take care and live *
