" We're loosing him!! 1, 2, clear. Get me the oxygen....." Was the only thing Mr. Ikechukwu could hear and the crying of his wife. He could only see blurry images, he kept trying to talk but no word could come out from his mouth. He fainted.

Mrs. Ikechukwu kept crying, she kept having imaginations of loosing her husband and her daughter at the Same time. Bayo was the one calming her down but Bayo was also in pain, tear filled his eyes . He kept blaming himself for everything. It took a lot to calm Mrs. Ikechukwu down and finally she slept off.

They were at the hospital all day. It was till 10:00pm that a doctor chose to address them.

" Hello sir" He said addressing Bayo

" Yes doctor"

" Sir I've got good news and bad news , the good news is.."

" Bad news first" Bayo said cutting in

" She's alive; I mean the girl but I can't say the same for him sir I.."

" What are you saying? I don't.. I don't understand"

" He's still breathing but there is no guarantee to his well being sir; that's the bad news"

" Can I go see her please" Bayo said referring to Ada

" Of course, yes, but sir if you anyway cause my patient harm, you're going to be arrested"

" I understand sir"

" Ok then" The doctor said leaving

. Bayo only told her about Ada then they went in to see her. Bayo was so delighted to see Ada smile as she saw him approaching. This gave Bayo a smiley face and her mother, an unending joy.

" Oh thank God, my baby girl is alive" Mrs. Ikechukwu said carrying her hand and cuddling it

" Mum, what of dad?" Ada said

" Bayo? What did the doctor say about him?"

" He's fine, but he's not awake yet" Bayo said replying Mrs. Ikechukwu

" Mum, please can I spend some time with Bayo, alone"

" Yes darling, but don't keep me waiting" Mrs. Ikechukwu said leaving them

" I'm so sorry Bayo"

" Don't be, I love you, I can't leave you. I just need to find favor from your dad" Bayo said in a low and pleasant tone

" This is the time Bayo, this is the right time to please him, he just needs you to be in support of Biafra and I know you can't lie to him but please just try to convince him"

" I will just calm down now okay, but I will talk to him I promise"

" How about now?"

" Alright, I'll go stay with him till he Wakes up"

" Let me join you"

" Oh.. Noo.. Your mum will kill me"

" She won't" she said going out before Bayo

" oh my God" Bayo was trying to draw her back but she insisted though she was active but she was still feeling a little pain

She went into the room her father was and her mother was already there. Bayo joined them after a little while. They all sat together on each side of the bed Mr. Ikechukwu laid on for some hours before he awoke. They were all so happy to see him awake, Bayo went to call the doctor he discussed with previously.

Bayo and the doctor came in after a short while. The doctor Came to check on him. The doctor finished checking him and called Bayo aside

" It's indeed a miracle sir, his vitals are normal and his heart beat is fantastic"

" So doctor what really happened to him?"

" High blood pressure then cardiac arrest and then high blood pressure just vice versa, we were confused really, that's why I had doubts about his survival"

" Ok? But he's okay now?"

" Yes"

" Thank you sir, God bless you"

" Amen"

Bayo left and went back to the room.

" Why is he still here?" Mr. Ikechukwu said still tired

Bayo went forth to him and knelt down

" Sir I know I offend you by not being in support of Biafra but sir, if that's what it takes to gain your love, I'll do it sir. I love your daughter sir I Really do, all I ask of you sir is a second chance and I will make changes. The only reason I don't like this Biafra is because of the war"

" No son, Biafra should be your choice, I wanted you to prove your loyalty and you just did, this means you love my daughter regardless of the choices you have to make. Now come, come and give me a hug"

They were all surprised, Bayo the most. He stood up happily and hugged him. Mrs. Ikechukwu and Ada were very happy to see them hugging each other. Ada hugged her father afterwards and she also hugged Bayo
