Unholy Condemnation - Episode 5

 

A small dark cloud drifted across the face of the moon as Janet smoked leisurely on the balcony of Ikenna's duplex.

She had quarrelled with Ikenna again and felt contented she won this time around.

Ikenna was cool and calculating.

Always a step ahead of everything but tonight he got the shock of his life.

After she had filled herself with good vodka, she had stamped towards the kitchen, banged on the door until he opened and had cornered him near the cupboard; daring him to hit her.

She had taunted him and without giving him space to respond; had criticized him for being so selfish and self-centered.

The climax of the sweet saga was when the pasta and stew got burnt because Ikenna was so engrossed in trying to throw words at her.

She smiled when she remembered Ikenna's sad face the moment he realized the food had damaged.

She nearly dance with joy when she smelt the burnt offering.

Ikenna had sadly went to the sitting room, collected a can of soft drink and strode into his bedroom.

He had locked the door and retired for the night.

Well, she had taught him a serious lesson not to mingle words with her next time.

She admired Ikenna's look, his brilliance and zeal to succeed.

His determination was the main thing that attracted him to her and she was the person that made the first move the moment she noticed this guy was perfectly made for her.

She had been in and out of so many relationships she had lost count of the men she dated in the past.

Most of them are crazy in the head, some were too religious for her liking.

She had noticed at a tender age when her mother died that men are mug when they see pretty girls and had taken advantage of this at a very young age.

She later noticed Most of them where after her because of her rich background.

As she grew older, her taste of men changed.

Before she graduated from the university, she had practically dated all sorts of men. She slept her way to stardom in the modelling world and soon a renowned modelling agency in the country snapped her up.

In her line of business as a model, men are always after her and her modelling agency prided her to their numerous sponsors for endorsement.

Despite her father's immense wealth, she made so much money and later became a very popular brand.

At a later stage she became tired of the agency and dumped them.

She became independent and started to travel around in search of fun.

She was bored with the millions she made as a brand.

She had dreamed to see a successful guy that will worship and adore her.

Someone she can love, command and toy with at the same time.

It was in one of her numerous travels she met Ikenna.

The moment she met him, she knew he is the guy.

Ikenna was a successful civil engineer with a touch of ability.

Though he got mesmerized by her stunning beauty, he never reckoned she will be this bad.

She had suddenly established her bossy attitude and still linked him up with her rich dad.

The old man seemed to love him more than his own children and practically entrusted most of his minor contracts to him.

Not that she was bothered about her father's nonchalant character towards Ikenna, she wanted Ikenna to succeed but she is making it clear to him that she was his stepping stone to greatness.

The way people addressed them fascinated her a lot.

The newspapers called them self made millionaire couple.

He can lock himself up tonight for all she cared but he should better be ready to rise up early and prepare breakfast.

She love the scrambled egg and bread lace with cream.

She wondered why she is still so slim and beautiful, despite all the food she stuffed herself with.

A car stopped in front of the gate and blew the horn continuously.

She quickly recognized the horn.

Tony's Porsche cayenne was one of the few cars with such loud horn.

She made herself more comfortably on the seat, sucked on her cigarette, dragged smoke down her lungs and blew it up high to the moon.

"You can sleep there for all I care" she mused.

She knew Tony would be mad at her if he gets to know she was right outside the house.

Not that she was quarrelling with Tony, no.

She was like a twin sister to him, only that She felt its the duty of Ikenna to open his own gate since he refused to get a security guard.

He wanted to be doing everything all by himself.

So much for a millionaire like him, always on the low key.

The car continued its nonstop blasting of horn for some minutes and suddenly stopped.

Then a figure appeared ontop of the fence and dropped right inside the compound.

"You know that's illegal"

Janet said.

"So you were here smoking? What the matter with you? Why can't you open the gate for me?"

"You are not welcomed here tonight

replied Janet.

She blew smoke in Tony's direction and watched him staggered to the gate.

He opened it, drove the car in, closed the gate and walked inside the house without saying another word to her.

She smiled.

Staying in the father's big castle that was filled to the brim with chattering servants seems to be the boredom of the century.
