The Past - Episode 3
On reaching the hospital, they were lucky enough to find the doctor
who attended to them. The doctor asked what the problem was and they
told him.
"It's a very complicated issue. It's against the hospital's rules. I
don't think we will be able to do that", the doctor said.
"Please sir, you have to help us. This thing can cause our parents to
disown us
. We know you can do it sir. Just help us", David pleaded.
After some time, the doctor finally agreed to do it. During the
process, the pain Grace felt made her scared. But the doctor assured
her that everything will be fine.
He told David to meet him in his office.
"She has done a lot of abortion and that has damaged her womb. This
last one now had to cost her the entire womb. We had to remove it to
save her life", the doctor had told him.
David only thanked the doctor and went home. He never called her to
know how she was felt after the process. And she was worried but never
said anything.
At last she was able to go home. And there, she recieved a shock.
David had packed all her things out of the house. "I don't have
anything to do with you because you are as good as nothing", he told
her.
"But you promised to stay with me all through my life", Grace said in

. She tried pushing her way into the house but he kept pushing
her away from the room.
"I will never forgive you Dave. You will regret this all the days of
your life", she said finally and parked her things to go.
She had to go and get an apartment where could stay and round up her
education. She got one and parked in.
Some days later, she started bleeding and had to rush back to the same
hospital where she had done the abortion. And the doctor then told her
about her ordeal.
"I hope you've been told that you no longer have a womb. It was due to
several abortions you have done", the doctor told her.
She broke down in tears and said "so this is the reason for David's
sudden change of behaivour. I will never in life forgive you". The
doctor only encouraged her and left the ward.
