 after service, i need your counsel on
 something” she requested

"No problem my dear, I also have something very important to ask of you, promise me
 you won't refuse although its not a matter we need to be discussed over the phone" he said

"Daddy you know I can't refuse you, you are my daddy nah, so long as it’s within my
 power I will try my best possible to assist
 you with it” she responded.

 “Okay then, take cake” he ended the call.

      "My son you heard her yourself, she is as free as a bird..

You can go and console Hani but remember my take on this issue.

 By the way, tell her family not to bother
 about refunding the money you've sent to
 them for the wedding arrangement, its not necessary" he concluded.

Vil ran after Hani...

"Hani wait!" he called out,

He found her sobbing at the corner of the
 house.

“Can you stop crying, please..." he said.

"Why is all this happening now, why I’m I so unfortunate in life, everything has suddenly  turned topsy-turvy, 

How could I have known that your father is Emeka's pastor, 

Now everything is upside down...what are
 we going to do now Vil?” she asks in tears 

“Honestly I'm confused", he replied.

 "But Hani, you never mentioned anything
 about Emeka to me.

I guess he was the same guy I saw the other day that was pleading with you, but you said he was just an old friend 

And I remember we both rushed him to the hospital when we found him unconscious
 on our return from our outing that day,

Despite all my pleads for us to check on him while he was admitted before his discharge, you refused.

I felt something wasn’t right but I just 
couldn’t place it.

From the look of things, it seems you and
 Emeka have come a long way, how is it that you were able to walk away from your 
relationship just like that? Vil asks

Fresh tears swelled up in her eyes...

Hani started stammering... "I love you Vil"..

suddenly, is now history, is it that easy to let go of someone?

Honestly, i think you need some time alone
 to clear your head and decide what you
 really want.

I guess it’s probably the easy life that you
 love.

If I wasn’t a joint owner of the lab. worth 
millions, would you have considered me?”
 he asked in anger.

 She shook her head and tears flowed freely from her eyes…

"Come let me drive you home, I will also let your parents in on the situation of things.

I want you to also know that daddy had
 already told me that he has someone in the church he wants me to take as my bride
 before he even saw you. 

Your past only complicated everything the more, if not, i most likely would have been 
able to convince him to accept you.

Nevertheless, let's wait for the church elders to sit on it tomorrow”.

They both arrived at Hani’s house, it was
 about 7 pm.

Vil explained everything to her parents and they told him they will accept whatever
 decision he makes, 

That they have no idea that Emeka's pastor was his father.

"My daughter didn't yield to our advice, 

for the five years she spent with Emeka,
 they always had a way of settling their 
differences,

 even up till now we don't know what her
 reasons are for leaving Emeka,

please do well let us know what the church decides so we can cancel all the wedding
 arrangement if need be" her father said.

"Thanks for your understanding,

 if my father was not a pastor it would have been easier, and to think that Emeka is a 
dedicated member of the church,

 I wonder what he will think of my father if I marry Hani, that he kept her for his own 
 son all along.

I have to leave now, i really need some time off, I will let you know the outcome of 
tomorrow meeting.”

Vil left.

Saturday night was a long one.. 

It was as if there would be no tomorrow... 
Tosin was wondering what the pastor 
wanted to ask of her. 

She also imagined how it would be like to
 marry Emeka, 

She has never thought of Emeka beyond
 friendship, it was really a tall order for her.

"I will only marry Emeka if daddy 
approves..."
