I waited.

No one will say I didn't, I really waited.

It's been 2 months since I was kidnapped by those gods, two months in which I've had to endure the fact that I am a god and I have magical abilities.

 

One where I've had to hide from my family the reason for my heart break. 

I waited, dammit. 

 

"What's in your head?" Jeter asks from besides me and I turn. 

"Nothing" 

"Yes, yes, I believe, that's why you are squeezing the life out of that cupcake" He says and my eyes go to the said cupcake which I let go off before dusting my hand. 

Liang extends a paper towel which I accept. 

 

Jeter and me are no longer dating, I could not do that to him, i couldn't bring another person to our relationship, he understood and there's also that little bit where he's an energy sucker, it's like that thing where I couldn't kiss someone, there's someone out there for him, I'm sure, we are friends now, good friends but I will admit that it gets awkward some times. 

With him also trying by all means to prove to me in all ways that the decision I made was the wrong one, it's obvious he wants me back. 

Sigh. 

 

I glance at Liang to see him watching me, I stick my tongue out at him, he's wondering I'm sure, I only explained the bare details of who Jeter really is and what happened all those times ago.

Mom and dad are confused, I will try to make them understand as time goes on. 

 

Liang wants to know what my deal is, why I've broken up with Jeter, he's not going to find out from me about Jeter being an energy sucker, I don't want to be there for that fight. 

 

I don't know what's going on between him and Mila but that has made him cranky these past days. 

 

And Mila, where the hell is she? She is the one who was supposed to be here first? She invited us for lunch for chris sakes.. 

 

After telling me that her supposed mum and dad, Mr and Mrs Harriet were minor gods in their own right who habored her all this while, she invited me for lunch, extending the invitation to Liang and Jeter.

 

The door opens and Mila is there with another young lady, she looks like Mila, a lot like her.

"Hola!" Mila says as she gets to us, "I'm sorry I'm late, Bonnie could not make up her mind on what to wear" She says and my eyes go to the lady.

Maybe not more than 25 in human years, with straight black hair and green eyes, she looks like one of them, us.

"Aullo, everyone" she says, her eyes glued to my face.

They take their seat and I turn to Mila.

"Took you long enough" I say and she blows me a air kiss.

"Well, Everyone meet Bonnie, Bonnie meet everyone, Star , Jeter and Liang" Mila says  and I say hi before lifting my confused eyes to mila, Jeter looks amused.

"Bonnie is my daughter" Mila says softly and I freeze, Liang too, Jeter looks beyond amused this time.

 

"What?" I voice, I know Mila is old but not that old.

"She wanted to meet you guys, I had to leave her behind when I was on my mission, her other name is bantu, she was the one who made your mum ask Alixi for help towards you" Mila says and i look at Bonnie.

Her eyes are still on me.

"It's an honour to finally meet you"she says 

What do I say? The honor is mine?

She smiles.

I smile back.

She really does look like Mila.

"So,you have a daughter" I say to Mila but her eyes are on Liang.

Liang looks murderous, he stands and he's gone.

Mila looks like they just killed her child, no offence to Bonnie.

"So, what do we order?"

"Shouldn't you go after him mother?" Bonnie asks and I get chills from hearing her calling Mila mother.

"All in due time" Mila says, shadows in her eyes just as the waiter shows up at our table.

 

What is in due time?

When we get home after dropping Bonnie off at her place, Mila leads me to my room, saying we have to talk.

 

"Whatever about?" I ask.

"You are really stupid you know that?" She asks and I frown.

"I am?"

"Yes, why haven't you called for him? I've given you time to lick your wounds but why haven't you called yet for him?"

"Call for who?"

"Don't act dumb with me"

"I really don't know what you are talking about"

"Oh, I see you want to do this the hard way" she says before striking a pose, I kid you not.

"We gods, we don't play games, we know what we want and we go for it, we don't force ourselves on any body, Alixi gave you time all those years to prepare yourself and he's giving you time now but you still aren't prepared"

"I don't know what you mean Mila" I say.

"Why haven't you called for him, better still why haven't you asked me to take you to him? You are what? Waiting for him to show up and apologize for ignoring you the other time? Right after he just proved himself to you buy slaying the demons who tried to kill you "

My eyes widen when she starts making sense.

" I see you are getting me, let me expand on the things Alixi has done for you star, he saved Ezra's life, making it possible for him to be able to see and interact with you for the little amount of time he had left, even though it hurt him to allow anyone close to you, he saved your father numerous times, saved you, blessed you, made you a God and you are here still sulking? "

" I.. I.

" This, this happened before, a long time ago, Alixi, he's been rejected before by a blessed, not all blessed can be his mate but once, he had a mate and she left him for his brother, lucc, Alixi didn't do anything, but it was quite obvious that he was.... Anyway, the blessed, she betrayed him and his brother and Alixi had to kill her, you must understand that its against the rules to kill a blessed, but you must also understand that it's against the rules for a blessed to be able to walk free and live a life, Alixi did that for you, allowing you to live life without restrictions, all he wanted, his reward.. It should have been you" she says quietly. 

" Mila.. I didn't know.. "I start.. My heart aching at my selfishness and foolishness.

" Let me give you time to think about that" 

"Mila.. Mila, Mila.. I don't want to think about it.. Could you.." 

"No, call him star " She says before exiting my room and I fall back to seat on my bed, knowing very well that every thing she said is beyond correct.
