The God And His Bride - Episode 28

I slowly move my head back as he raises his head, for one blissfilled moment I forget everything as I ride out the wave of the kiss.

"Sona?"

His voice calls and my eyes open, I did not know I had closed it.

"Why would you do that?" I ask as the world and reality intrudes.

He shakes his head and i don't waste time in stepping away from him.

I can't let him crowd me, I can't let him do things like that.

"I've made it clear that you and your brother or whatever is to stay away from me"

"That's impossible" He says, not at all affected by the kiss.

His words bring up my guard that was on its way to shattering.

I understand now how it feels when you've sealed off your heart, it's impossible to do it.

"I don't think you understand what I mean Alixi, I do not need you, i do not need your type of trouble, I do not need you around, I will never forgive you for what you did to Ezra, I will hate you even if takes away my humanity, stay away from me and do not try to sway me"

He watches me and right in front of me his eyes darkens.

"You humans, all the same, you promised to wait for me, you made me come to you, now you say you do not want me?"

"What.. Are you talking about...?"Before he can reply a voice calls from behind me. 

" Star? 

"Star?" 

"Fantastic, it's a party" I say, my voice laden with sarcasm. 

"Can we talk star?" 

"No Jeter, we can't, we can never" 

"I believe I should at least get the benefit of your doubt, don't you think? I never gave you any reason to think ill of me before" 

He says and my heart, my stupid, useless heart understands what he means, my brain is screaming for me to walk away, tell him that there's nothing to talk about but I find myself nodding. 

"I can't talk now Jeter, I have somewhere to be" 

"Does that mean you will talk to me sometime else?" 

"I will call you" I say and he shakes his head, taking a step forward, getting into my space. 

"We have to talk now baby, soon very soon, in not giving you space to think, I'm not giving you space to fill your head with thoughts, deep down in you you know that I'm right and I should be forgiven, given a chance to speak" 

I hate it when he is right, I totally hate and despise it.

"Jeter..." I can feel myself breaking, its not my fault, my treacherous heart remembers all the beautiful moments together, before I can make a stupid decision, like say, run into his hands and tell him it's okay he's been sucking my energy (which I must let you know I still don't know what it entails) Alixi places a hand on my waist, pulling me back to real life. 

"Jeter, we will talk later" I say and his eyes slices to Alixi. 

"What did you do?" Jeter asks Alixi and I shrink into myself. 

Did he see us kissing?

"What ever do you mean Lucc?" 

"Do not call me that" 

"Why? You don't like how it reminds you of the devilish things you've done?" 

"Alixi, back off" I say, unconsciously protecting Jeter, okay maybe consciously. 

Alixi looks to me, disbelief in his eyes, I don't know what I'm doing, I don't know how I'm gonna handle two men in my life, they have to back off, they have to give me space, I have to think. 

"Sona, you mustn't fall for his charms, you have to understand that you have only one owner and that's me."

I take offence to him calling himself my owner, I'm a grown woman living in the Twenty first century, we don't have owners over here. 

I open my mouth to tell him  that when a car drives onto the curb, trampling the flowers my mum took extreme care to plant,hitting our fence and presumably scratching the paint. 

I blink in disbelief, who is this jerk? 

Alixi tenses behind me, I find myself staring at a hard back and that's when I notice that Alixi has maneuvered himself in front of me. 

Who ever is in that car is someone he knows and is clearly not welcome here. 

I peek over Alixi's back as Jeter turns, weighing the new comer.

A man comes out, looking over his car, what strikes me most is the face that he's golden, from head to toe, extremely golden, golden hair, golden skin, golden..

. Everything, even his car is a bright gold colour, how gold can be bright is beyond me. 

"Explain yourself" Alixi growls as the door opens behind Jeter, Mila stepping out. 

"Majesty" The newcomer says, bowing only slightly, his eyes glancing off Mila, Jeter and finally coming to settle on me.. 

I shrink back, where Alixi has dark eyes and dark everything, this man has golden eyes, and even if gold is beautiful, on him its  creepy and its freaking me out. 

"Majesty" He says, bending and this time I don't think it's Alixi he's referring to. 

"Explain yourself Tajiki" Alixi says again and the man lifts his eyes from me to Alixi. 

"Majesty, your bride, she's made summons in the realm"

What? I think. 

"What?" Mila whispers, verbalising my unspoken thought. 

Alixi turns to me, betrayal in his eyes. 

"What did you do Sona?" He asks and I shrink into my self. 

For the life of me I have no idea what might be wrong.

I'm sorry about the short hiatus. 

When I started this book I had an end in sight, a game plan, how things was gonna be, that got shot to hell. 

I had to take some time to rethink and bring in new ideas, I didn't want to rush anything and I also didn't want to write something that's not up to standard. 

I'm sorry that it took me this long to update. 

I'm hoping you will understand, I'm writing a new book book which I'm going to release as soon as this one is over, like as soon as, not even a day between.
