I slowly close the door, making sure that she's okay in her sleep, seeing her hurting in this way isn't something I'm real fond of.

When I fell in love with the little God girl I didn't expect I'd be here one day, taking care of her.

I listen to the sound of my footsteps as it takes me down stairs, away from the only lifeline I have.

I know It was only a matter of time before he came, before Alixi came but I thought I still had a bit of time.

A bit of time to explain things and tie her to me in the most ultimate way as possible.

I step into the sitting room and he's sitting there.

Alixi, My brother.

"When I felt another god energy, not once, not even a little did it cross my mind that it would be you" He says, crossing his leg. 

I bow, I must. 

He watches me as I slowly lift my self up, staring into his eyes. 

"Do I want to know why you are around my woman Lucc?" He asks and my fist clenches, I mustn't get in a fight with Alixi, I try to remind myself of this fact. 

"With all respect brother, she is mine" I say and he nods, always so cool and always so calm. My fist clench, that's how he had looked too when he banished me from the realm, leaving me a mere god. 

"Does she, perhaps know of what you are? This woman that you call yours?" 

"She loves me all the same" I say and he sits up, slowly. 

"She loves you?" 

"Alixi,do you have something you want to say? I'm not sure she's a big fan of yours now, seeing as you left her friend to die"

"You felt me inside him did you not?" 

"Just as I felt the goddess Milo around her, She's God marked, don't blame me for not saying hi while you were stuck in the dying human" 

"You hid yourself from milo" 

"You banished me Alixi, I have to hide myself from everyone, no body is a fan of mine, not before, not after" I say before continuing.."....besides, the goddess might as well be human for all the tamping down of energy she does" I say. 

"You can't stay around her, Lucc, she isn't yours, let's not go to war over that" 

The anger comes in swift at this cocky bastard, I'm tired of this shit, of pretending that we are civil, pretending we are anything else but mortal enemies.

"Let me get this straight Alixi, Oh great and powerful Alixi, you left your bride, without marking, without protection, with nothing, you don't come to her, you don't bring her to you, and when another had a need of her you become angry and want to set boundaries? Don't you think that's too much like a petulant child refusing a toy and wanting it back because it's been given to another?" I don't finish before I find my back hitting the wall and plaster scattering everywhere. 

I push back, fangs and wings unfurling, I snarl. 

"You must not like me playing with your toy brother, you must hate it so much" I say and he let's me go, ever cool, ever calm. 

"You will stay away from her "he says and I stand, my wings aiding me. 

"Make me"I say and he turns pulling me, away, out, through the roof, onto the lawn outside. 

"Do you want to fight me Lixi? Do you not like the sound of that?" I ask, pushing away his hand on my neck fruitlessly. 

"Do not anger me Lucc" 

"The name is Jeter, brother and I wil be with this woman for as long as she will have me" I say and I watch before my eyes how Alixi, the great and powerful loses his composure. 

Wings unfurl and his fangs slide down, I feel a noose around my neck and I gasp,. 

"You think you will best me when it comes to getting her attention? You think she will be with you who constantly sucks her energy than to be with me? Who for all her life has been providing every single thing she desires?" 

My eyes widen at that, he knows, he knows about my folly, I want to be the first to tell her, explain things. 

But I don't get a chance to. 

"What do you mean suck my energy?" A quiet voice asks and Alixi glances towards her, his hold on me lossens. 

He let's me go and I turn, I watch her take me in, the fang, the wings the tattoos I'm sure is eminent all over my body and I watch the woman I love shut down, close her self off. 

"Star.

. I can explain.." I start but she looks past me with dead eyes and towards Alixi.

"Who are you and how are you going to fix my father's roof?" She asks and Alixi waves a hand, the roof becomes good as new. 

"You know who I am sona"

"Forgive me if I want to forget who the f*ck you are Alixi" she says before turning to me. 

"What did he mean by you sucking my energy?" I don't answer as I will my wings to go back in, I don't get to answer because Mila does so. 

"He's an energy sucker star, an emotional vampire, in the literal sense of the word, he survives by feeding off on emotions, he's a very dangerous being" Mila says, throwing me a look before coming to stand beside star, Liang with her. 

"You've been surviving by feeding off my energy?" 

"It couldn't have hurt you, you are a god..."

"That makes it any more excusable? That makes it okay? Here I thought you loved me for me but I'm getting to find out it's because being around me is like a steady high for you?" 

"It's not like that star.. I love you." 

"Get gone" She says quietly, her hand wrapping around herself. 

"Star..." 

"The both of you, get gone from my life" I take a step forward but Alixi is there holding me back. 

She turns, walking up the stairs and into the house. 

I turn to Mila and she has no expression on her face. 

She leads Liang in, leaving me and my brother. 

"You always ruin everything" I say quietly. 

"No brother, I always save you from yourself, from taking things, people that are not yours" 

He says and I make up my mind. 

"I will make Star Marx mine" 

"It's a bet little brother" He says and I swear to the seven realms that I will in fact make star marx mine.

So when I said 'The God and his bride' who do you think I was referring to? Jeter or Alixi? 

Who do you want the god to be? 

Who do you want star to end up with? 

So, Jeter is the evil twin of Alixi talked about by bantu in the first chapter. 

But, let's face it, who is looking like the evil twin to you?
