The God And His Bride - Episode 20

 

"Who you are? Who you are? Are you playing a f*cking prank on me right now Ezra? Who are you? Who the ever loving f*ck do you think you are? Aren't you the same jerk who ruined me and left me when I thought we were gonna be together, then tel me Ezra f*cking Kane, who are you?"

He looks stunned at my outburst, like he didn't expect me to blow up.

Well, F*ck him, I didn't expect to blow up, I'm tired, it's two in the morning and I'm very tired, I've been on an emotional roller-coaster because of this jerk.

My boyfriend is outside right now probably wondering if I am alright, he's probably wondering what I'm gonna do with our relationship and here I am worrying over a diva? A diva who just made me cuss, I never cuss, I'm not a cusser. 

I'm very very worried about his health state now, he's in remission, who knows if there's going to be a relapse. 

Before he can unhinge his jaw from the ground the door bursts open and flashes of light begin to go off. 

"Ezra Kane, is it true that you have cancer?" 

"Ezra Kane is it true that you have just one month to live?" 

"Say something about what you are going to do with your wealth before you die?" 

"Is this woman your doctor? Ma'am can you say something?" A reporter asks, shoving a camera and a boom mic in my face. 

I stand still, shell-shocked, I look to Ezra and he looks as confused as I feel, although he looks pissed at the people standing in front of him, almost as if he wants to chew their head off, or breath fire on their souls. 

How did the paparazzi get in? 

No wait, don't answer that foolish question, how did they get into the ward? Where is security. 

I don't finish that thought before the doors burst open again and the man I saw with Ezra the other day, his manager enters, with what seems like a thousand guards. 

The guards immediately start herding the Papz back while the manager throws Ezra a cap and a hoodie, The man throws me a look and even from the short look I immediately know he does not like me. 

"We have to get out of here Kane" He says, Ezra turns to me and I look as he looks at me confused, as if asking what the hell is going on. 

"Ezra, We need to roll" The manager says again, this time grabbing his bicep, Ezra growls at him before turning to me. 

"If I must go you have to go with me" He says and I get the feeling he must be referring to me. Of course he's referring to me, who else? 

I think the lack of sleep is getting to me. 

"Ezra the doctor can't come with us" Mr.Manager says and the Papz fall into a frenzy. 

"Is this your new girlfriend Ezra? Is she the reason you've never been seen with a girl for a while?" 

"Miss? Say something about your relationship with Ezra Kane."

The manager finally grabs me by my hand when he sees that Ezra is not budging. 

When he begins to lead me out Ezra stops him, holding him back, The manager looks to him before suddenly letting me go, Ezra grabs my hand, leading me out with me almost plastered to his side.

When we begin to walk out I vaguely see Jeter standing by, i stop to talk to him but we get rushed out. 

When we get down stairs we get herded into Ezra's Van and there he immediately rips off the cap and hoodie, growling softly and with malice. 

"Humans" 

I can't find It in me to throw a jab at him and ask if wasn't a part of the human population. 

His manager turns to us, looking directly to Ezra. 

"We had a deal Kane, stay out of the light, keep the sickness hidden and we will break it out to the media in our own time" 

Ezra does not say a word, The manager turns to me, he opens his mouth but stops at his Ezra's voice. 

"Don't.

. Don't talk to her" He says and the manager turns to face the front of the vehicle, 'muttering about the hard headed jerk' 

"Where are we going?" I ask, My voice low, the activities of the night finally getting to me. 

He doesn't reply, just has his eyes close and I decide to close mine too, this is good then, I had no intention of going home anyway.

Alixi

I watch her sleep, she's a little slip of a girl, not more than a little demi god. 

She looks troubled and I find that I don't like that, she must wake so we can talk. 

But I don't wake her, No, I can't find it in me to. 

The moving vessel the humans call a car stops and the short man who seems to be familiar with the owner of this body speaks to me. 

"Do not leave your house Kane" He says. 

"You can go on in, I will see to her getting home" 

He says and I don't like that, this human does not have integrity, no honour, he will not be left alone with my blessed. 

"Leave her be" I says, looking into his eyes, seeing his attention about threatening my blessed,my bride. 

I let him go, the owner of this body seems to need him. 

"Hope to God you know what you are doing Ezra" He says before stepping down from the car and opening the door. 

I step down, moving around to the other side of the vehicle, opening it and seeing her sleeping, looking like one of Maia's child lights. 

My eyes go to her lips, and I suddenly wonder how long it has been since I last had a woman. 

Nows not the time, I lift her and her body immediately molds into mine, I feel it, deep, in recesses I had thought long dormant. 

I walk towards the gate, willing it to open with my mind and it does, I hear the van drive away, I use the humans body, Ezra's memories, I use it in navigating the house, making sure the door closes behind me. 

I take her to the bed upstairs, the one, the biggest one in the house, acutely aware that I have her soft body close to mine. 

I set her on the bed and she comes awake. 

"Ezra..." She says softly, I don't like her calling me by another's name. 

"Alixi, Sona, my name is Alixi" I say, calling her the endearment of the gods and she nods, mumbling, settling into the bed. 

"Say it" I say, brushing her hair off her head. 

"Alixi" She says, sounding cherubic in sleep, my eyes go back to her lips and they stay there, she slowly blinks her eyes open. 

"Tell me to go away Sona" I say but she blinks slowly, Lifting herself on her elbow to kiss my cheek. 

"I'm happy you are okay Ezzy" She says and I feel the warmth flow throw the man's body, he must love the endearment. 

I bend my head, Taking her lips in mine, I must have something of hers, I must. 

The jealousy courses through me as I kiss her with all the pent up frustration in me, she comes willingly, she must, she is mine. 

I break the kiss when she sighs softly, I mustn't go beyond this. 

"Ezzy... Stay" She says before slipping back to sleep. 

Hades, This is going to be a real bother.

I had to put things together as soon as I got home, I'm so tired right now. 

I promised an update yesterday and I'm sorry I wasn't about to deliver.
